    Earlier this month, it was reported that Meek Mill had been sentenced to 3 to 6 months in county jail, following a probation violation. Rick Ross, the head of Meek Mill's label, Maybach Music Group, cleared things up shortly thereafter, suggesting that the jail time would likely consist of only a few weeks.

    Meek Mill's sophomore album, Dreams Worth More Than Money, is due out in September, but the rapper may not be able to celebrate the release as a free man. A report from Fox News says that Meek has been sentenced to 3 to 6 months in jail, citing that the "DA was worried about [his] behavior while on probation".It's not clear if or how he violated his probation, but according to the story, Meek will be spending time in county jail for the offense.

    On July 8th, Meek Mill stopped by the scene of a fire that killed four children in Southwest Philadelphia, responding to a tweet by Philadelphia radio station Hot 107.9 requesting assistance from the general public. Meek responded by tweeting that he would help. Living up to his word, Meek not only donated an undisclosed amount of money to the victims, but also tweeted at other Philadelphia residents to help as well.

    Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling came under fire this week, after a recording that finds him telling his girlfriend not to "associate" with black people or bring them to his games surfaced online. Meek Mill has now spoken out on the subject, calling Sterling "the definition of racism" before protesting Las Vegas' alleged opposition to rap performers. Meek argued that people with similar beliefs to Sterling can be found everywhere, writing on Twitter, "He could b your judge.... Your doctor.....you teacher etc... I bet nothing happens 2 him!"
