10 Essential Casey Veggies Tracks
Casey Veggies might be young, but the twenty-one year old MC has quite the list of credentials for someone who's just barely old enough to (legally) get into the club. As an original member of Odd Future, Casey Veggies appeared on the groups first mixtape, The Odd Future Tape, before distinguishing himself as his own brand. He's since released a handful of tapes on Peas & Carrots, and even had Rick Ross' Maybach Music release his most recent effort Fresh Veggies.

140 Bars Or Less: Tweets Of The Week (March 20)
Last week was a great one to be a hip-hop fan, but a bad one to be a record label executive. Things turned down a few notches after last week, which isn't a bad thing considering how crazy that week was. Kanye West returned to The Breakfast Club, and that was pretty much the biggest thing. We're still on the look out for his album and Big Sean's Dark Sky Paradise.

140 Bars Or Less: Tweets Of The Week (October 17)
We live in strange times — times where 42-year-old OGs beef on Instagram with Australian pop rap artists in their 20s. This ain't fiction: Snoop Dogg and Iggy Azalea were going at it. The "beef" had one artist recalling one that she had with another OG from the south. Also, one rapper tweeted his version of "Control." Yep, it's been an odd year for hip-hop.

Samples Of The Week: June 26
When hip-hop began, samples were all that DJs and producers had to construct instrumental tracks with. They'd dig through crates of vinyl trying to find isolated drum breaks, melodies or vocals that they could repurpose for use in hip-hop music. Today, sampling has become less common, but a choice sample can still push a track from lukewarm to hot faster than you can say "uh-huh honey".
