M.T.G (Moving Towards Greatness), was born and raised on the south side of Chicago. He is an American rapper, singer and composer with a genre of Hip Hop. He was introduced to music when he met Ziggy Marley at age 5. He was influenced to play the drums and from there he learned to play different instruments like the trumpet and piano. He is known for his debut music video "Handshake" feat Atlanta artist SkoobDerski. The video was played in over 20 countries. Distributed by Island Def Jam Music Group, his next E.P will be out in the spring of 2013. It will have appearances by Atlanta rapper Future, Detroit's Jay John Henry, Tayyib Ali of Philadelphia and a bonus track that will feature D.C rapper Wale.
