Lupe Fiasco Might Be Dropping An EP
Lupe Fiasco has been pretty silent on social media since the release of his ambitious new album, Tsetsuo & Youth, but recently broke his silence by penning an open letter to white supremacy on Instagram. Today, he's making noise once again, releasing some mysterious cover art for what looks like a new project from the Chicago rapper.

He actually addressed the letter to "white supremacy" featuring photos of shooter Dylan Roof plastered with SUPREME-inspired logos.
Top 10 Hip-Hop Albums Of 2015 (So Far)

June has seemingly crept up out of nowhere, marking the halfway checkpoint of a year that, so far, has been ripe with exceptional releases from some of hip-hop’s brightest emcees. Releases-- highly anticipated or dropped by surprise, some commercial mixtapes and some full albums -- have infused the year with some fun that surely help the time pass as we approach the new year.
Putting On For His City: Kanye West's Chicago Co-Signs
Although he once claimed to be "so Chi" that you thought he was bashful, Kanye West isn't frequently thought of as a quintessential Chicago rapper, with his global fame often overshadowing his ties to his hometown. Mr. West is unarguably the most popular rapper to ever come out of the Windy City, but the regional term "Chicago rap" is more likely to be associated with Common and No I.D., or even younger dudes like Chief Keef at this point.
Charts Don’t Lie: February 8
This week we see Ne-Yo make his grand entrance on the Billboard 200 with Non-Fiction, and we're also analyzing Lupe Fiasco and Joey Bada$$ in their second week out. As we saw last week, Joey Bad started off strong with a #5 debut, much higher than Lupe's Tetsuo & Youth. However was that just hype for his first week out? This week we're seeing Joey make quite steep drop to #41, and although Lupe has dropped as well, he's actually coming in slightly higher than B4.DA.$$.
Chart’s Don’t Lie: February 1
This week both Joey Bada$$ and Lupe Fiasco finally make their splash on the Billboard 200. One splash was bigger than another, though. Joey's numbers not only outdid his veteran competitor Lupe Fiasco, but he also outdid fellow newcomers Rae Sremmurd, who are currently charting in their third week.

Review: Lupe Fiasco's "Tetsuo & Youth"
Lupe Fiasco has been in a battle with Atlantic records for what seems to be forever. We all know about his discontent with Lasers and on his mixtape Friend of the People he made it clear that he wanted off the label. He did not get his wish before this album dropped, and that almost prevented us from hearing this album entirely. Lupe has done interviews in which he says the album would never come out if Atlantic Records had their way. Given the acclaim that this album has been receiving lately, that would have been a tragedy.

140 Bars Or Less: Tweets Of The Week (January 16)
Nothing too new is going on in the game this past week. In other words, hip-hop is just going right now. And that's not bad: Vince Staples is alive and still hating on Chris Paul, Jay Z still knows how to tweet, Meek Mill is still free and he's #woke. Common and John Legend won the Golden Globe for Best Original Song ("Glory" from Selma), but other than that, things have been a 40 degree day. The tweets are still fire though.
Lupe Fiasco Says He Doesn't "Want To Be Relevant Today"
Recently Lupe Fiasco logged off twitter once and for all (or at least, for now), citing that he wanted to "go back to the shadows." While they may often struggle to get their music out, their opinions seem to face no such problems. Lately, they've been circling each others' orbits, nearly always coming out on the opposite sides of issues, but never colliding head-on until now.

This morning, Lupe Fiasco dropped off a new track from Tetsuo & Youth, the DJ Dahi-produced "Adoration Of The Magi." Soon enough, someone on Twitter pointed out that the song's beat was almost identical to the one Dahi used on Philadelphia rapper GrandeMarshall's 2012 track "Ellie Fox." One thing
