Last week, Lloyd Banks started his “Blue Friday” series back up, where he kicked off the first of what will be a new song every Friday with the release “Misunderstood.” Looking to keep his word, the former G-Unit rapper came through a little later than expected and shared his second #BlueFriday release in the early hours of Saturday morning called “Last Of A Dope Era Dying.” However, the couple hour delay was well worth the wait.

On Friday night, Lloyd Banks took to twitter to announce that if his hometown New York Knicks won Friday night's basketball game against the Charlotte Hornets that he would drop something new for us, and thankfully the outcome was in favor of the G-Unit fans. Shortly following the game, Banks announced the return of his “Blue Friday” series, which he started back in 2010 and kicked off the campaign with its first release “Misunderstood.”

Lloyd Banks delighted fans when he released Halloween Havoc 3: Four Days of Fury earlier this week. One of the tape's most impactful tracks, "History" delves into Banks' disappointment with the music industry and the rappers who seem to have all the cache at the moment. "Niggas would rather run from the culture yet come for the easy payment," he raps with an Illmatic flow.

Lloyd Banks is one of the most consistent rappers in the game, and he's got longevity too, but he's also one of the most lowkey. He's not out here like his G-Unit partner 50 Cent trolling and looking for limelight. When he finally comes out of hiding to release music, it's usually an event, at least for his cult following, among which I count myself, shout out me.

Originally set to arrive on Monday, DJ Whoo Kid’s unreleased Lost Flash Drive mixtape with G-Unit hasn’t see the light of day yet, and is reportedly now dropping tomorrow (8/30). But while we wait, Whoo Kid decides to share one of the tracks to hold us over in the meantime called “Set The Pick” featuring Young Buck, Lloyd Banks, Kidd Kidd & Tony Yayo.

Throwback Thursday means more classic freestyles from the extensive vaults of Tim Westwood. This week, Westwood blesses us with a Lloyd Banks freestyle from 2004. Banks absolutely goes off on Fat Joe’s “Lean Back” beat, spitting almost continuously for the entire 5 and a half minute track. Westwood has to run the beat back more than once to accommodate Lloyd Bank’s prolific rapping.

Lloyd Banks returned today with a new mixtape, Halloween Havoc 2, which arrived, funnily enough, the night after Halloween. In any case, fans were grateful to receive the first new project from Banks since 2013. And it's not just a novelty project -- HH2 contains 13 new tracks and some dope production, including a noteworthy beat from Araab Muzik, who shows up on "Angel Dust."

It looks like Lloyd Banks isn't slowing down. After hitting us with “Criminology” and “Serial Killa” these past two weeks, the G-Unit member decides to come through tonight and liberate yet another new freestyle over The Pharcyde's classic cut “Passing Me By”.

Lloyd Banks blessed the mic today, deploying his trademark raspy delivery and tight flow over the instrumental from Snoop Dogg's G-funk classic "Serial Killa." With "Criminology" and "How Many MCs" under his belt, "Serial Killa" marks Banks' third freestyle in two weeks.

G-Unit is killing the freestyle game right now. Kidd Kidd started it off with daily leaks coinciding with his Freshmen petition, then Tony Yayo went in over a Rakim beat, and now another vet, Lloyd Banks, is keeping things old-school with bars over Black Moon's classic "How Many MC's".

Just last night we got a new leak from Young Buck, with the high-energy banger "Count Me Out." DJ Whoo Kid is back today with yet another leak from the G-Unit member, alongside fellow G-Unit rapper Lloyd Banks, Gotti and Lil Reese. "Exclusive" serves as cut from Buck's upcoming Before The Beast mixtape, which we learned about the other day. It's slated to drop in time for the upcoming NBA All-Star Weekend, with a release date of February 12th.

G-Unit are back with a vengeance, sounding like they never left (or beefed). After surprising us with their The Beauty Of Independence EP, the crew continues their slaughter of beats, with a new freestyle over Troy Ave's "All About The Money."

Perhaps nothing displays The Beauty Of Independence better than the ability to release music how you want to, when you want to. Out to flex their newfound abilities, 50 and company returned today with a brand new six-track EP to hold fans over to their album drop later this year.  "Changes," a highlight off of the new EP, features 50 addressing his broken relationship with Dre and Jimmy Iovine over headphones while the rest of the Unit spits about changes of their own.
