The Future hook is a powerful thing. It can single-handedly make a hit song, it can resurrect a career, it can even show up three times on a fake Carter V tracklist with no one batting an eye. The Future hook can be triumphant, vulnerable, melodic, punchy, sometimes all at the same... ok you get the idea.

TMZ reports on Weezy's tax evasion, stating that for the years 2011 and 2012 Wayne owes more than $12 million to the IRS-- for 2011 he owes $5,843,952, while 2012 has a debt of $6,311,132.

    Feb 18, 2014 at 02:42pm
Lil Wayne and Mack Maine have been friends since childhood, growing up together in Hollygrove, New Orleans. Yesterday, one of their old friends from the neighborhood was killed by a police officer, and the two YMCMB rappers feel that there was foul play (on account of the cop) involved.  Weirldy enough, Keith “Magik” Atkinson, had just partied with the Young Money team the night before. He reportedly woke his mother up in the morning to gush about his incredible night, before stepping out to the convenience store, only to be fatally shot five minutes later.

This wasn't exactly RapGenius however, as the kids were meant to identify the literary devices in an excerpt from "6 Foot, 7 Foot", something they were having trouble doing with Shakespeare.

Lil Wayne may be known for his metaphors and similes, but unlike Shakespeare, he's got a pretty foul mouth to go with them. Nevertheless, a Florida school teacher decided Weezy would be a good subject to assess different forms of wordplay when the old world poets were confusing her students. The prof thus assigned the lyrics from Wayne's punchline-ridden "6 Foot, 7 Foot" for her 8th grade students to dissect. Unfortunately, parents couldn't get past the objectionable content.
