Young Thug Responds To Lil Wayne Diss Apr 10, 2015 at 04:32pm
This morning, we finally got the response we'd been waiting for from Lil Wayne on the subject of Young Thug's Carter VI: "stop listening to songs of niggas who pose naked on their motherfucking album covers." Now comes the inevitable reaction from Young Thug. In an Instagram video posted minutes ago, Thugger takes the high road:

Well, we've finally gotten an answer to the are they/aren't they beefing question that's stood between Young Thug and Lil Wayne since the Cash Money drama began popping off and Thugger announced Tha Carter VI. The answer, at least for Tunechi, is yes. During a show last night, he halted his set to hate on Thug's new album cover.

Wale's Projects About Nothing demonstrated his love for Seinfeld mixed in with a healthy dose of alternative hip hop. The Mixtape About Nothing kicked off the love affair with 19 tracks, mostly containing Best Kept Secret production, but the tape also had some music from The Roots, J Dilla, Lil Wayne, and The Budos Band for healthy measure.

If Thugger hadn't stirred up enough drama by naming his debut album Carter 6, before Lil Wayne's Carter 5 has even seen a release date, he continued to cause controversy by posing nude on the album cover, and laying out the album's title in phallic formation over... well, you know where.
Young Thug's Most Controversial Moves
Young Thug's Most Controversial Moves Apr 8, 2015 at 12:21pm
Scrolling through the comments on a Young Thug Instagram post is an experience like no other, even in an age when being able to hide behind a computer screen has made disparaging trolls out of nearly all of us. A simple photo of Thugger in an all-red outfit, posted three days ago, currently has about 1000 comments, most of them negative, and about a third of which focus on his perceived homosexuality.

Lil Wayne Moves His Cash Money Lawsuit To New Orleans Apr 7, 2015 at 04:48pm
Earlier today, we posted that Lil Wayne had dropped his $51 million lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money Records. According to Wayne's lawyer, Ron Sweeney, however, the lawsuit is still on. Wayne still plans to sue Cash Money for the same price of $51 million, though the case has been moved from New York to New Orleans.
Ranking Lil Wayne's 13 Mixtapes From Worst To Best
Ranking Lil Wayne's 13 Mixtapes From Worst To Best Apr 7, 2015 at 12:30pm
Lil Wayne didn't get the nickname "Mixtape Weezy" for nothing. Over the course of hip-hop history, very few artists have used the art of the mixtape to their advantage as well as Weezy F. It's helped to blow up the likes of Wiz Khalifa, A$AP Rocky and even Drake over the past decade, but Wayne's 13 mixtapes came when he was already a star. He didn't need the tapes to become a star, but they certainly propelled him in to GOAT territory by simply crushing the output of his competitors.

Though we're still awaiting the Free Weezy Album any time now, it appears the situation between Lil Wayne and Birdman isn't as dire as we once thought. Over two months after filing suit, reports now say Wayne has decided to drop the $51 million lawsuit against his mentor and record label.

Lil Wayne Fan Who Was Sucker-Punched By Security Could Potentially Sue Apr 2, 2015 at 07:42pm
Last week, we saw footage of Lil Wayne calling a "white boy" out for throwing a beer at him (based on the assumption that only white dudes drink the stuff, as well as some subsequent footage of a fan being sucker punched by a security guard. While the initial report linked the two incidents, there was no clear connection between them based on the footage. Now, a new story confirms that the man being attacked is not the same guy who threw the can, but he was heckling Wayne in one way or another.

While Lil Wayne deals with label trouble, his fans have to bare the brunt of it. In January he gave us Sorry 4 The Wait 2, but everyone is still anticipating Tha Carter V. Waiting for new Lil Wayne music is a great time to reflect on old Lil Wayne music, and lord knows he's given us enough of it. As one of the most prolific rappers of the past 20 years, there is no shortage of features, albums, and mixtapes. Today we'll be focusing on the latter of those.

We wish we had been in South Beach last night. Young Money's showcase at the Red Bull Guest House weekend was capped off by a headlining performance from Lil Wayne. Weezy was the last to hit the stage at an all-day pool party that featured DJ sets by Questlove, Hudson Mohawke, and Mannie Fresh. Mannie also got up on stage during Wayne's set, so we hope that's a signal of a future collab from the two (former) Cash Money brethren.

He maybe a little later than most, but Lil Wayne has finally joined Instagram. Taking to twitter to the other day, Weezy announced that he would be joining the popular social media outlet, and tonight he follows that up with his first official post. With a caption dubbed “Wooooop”, Tune can be seen posted up with a Red Bull in hand and dyed dreads alongside a couple homies. Since his announcement, Weezy has gained 1.6 million followers, which isn’t so bad for someone without a picture/post until a few hours ago.

Are Christina Milian & Lil Wayne Making It Official? Mar 25, 2015 at 03:07pm
The relationship between Christina Milian and Lil Wayne remains mysterious. Is it strictly business, with Weezy F helping give Milian a much-needed publicity and/or career boost, or is it a matter of two Young Money artists in lurve?

*T-Pain Voice*: 5 Rappers Who Pushed Auto-Tune Forward Mar 24, 2015 at 04:48pm
Auto-tune was something of a taboo in rap, for some it may always be, but for the most part, it's been accepted as a common songwriting tool. As prevalent as it may be today, there was only on figure who can really be attributed with popularizing the effect, and that's T-Pain (sorry, Cher).
