The Biebz then surprised us with an R. Kelly collaboration on one of his latest offerings, but apparently he's still got a couple of big features up his sleeve.

    In a new interview with MTV's Rap Fix Live, Chicagoan emcee Chance The Rapper revealed that Top Dog Entertainment offered him a record deal, which he declined. "They didn't almost sign me, they wanted to sign me" he clarified, after being asked about the rumor. "Don't say it like that, though. I turned down being signed... All of those guys are my good friends. That whole camp is great." Chance explained his stance in an earlier interview on BET's 106 & Park:

Universal Music is making an effort to give collectors another (or in some cases, first) chance to own some of genre's seminal albums on wax. The label's intention with the project is to “spotlight iconic, genre-defining albums” from the past releases of Def Jam, Interscope, Priority and Virgin Records.

    Mixtape Weezy-- somewhat of a legendary title that continues to be cited as the rapper's hungriest and most engaging form. With the release of Dedication 5, the discussion about this particular brand of Wayne was rampant once again. Was Mixtape Weezy back? or was D5 just more of the same recycled punchlines we've been hearing from his last few releases? A consensus was not made, and seldom is with Wayne-- and most certainly will not be made with this list.

    Right around the time Lil Wayne's Dedication 5 dropped, Pusha T tweeted out a message that seemed to be directed at Wayne. “I think it’s safe to say, you really lost it…” read the Tweet, and was apparently clear enough for Young Money rapper Jae Millz to respond.     As we saw over the weekend, Lil Wayne was the guest on Katie Couric's talk show second season debut. During his interview he talks about his children and his plans for retirement. After describing his children, Wayne confirms that he plans to retire by the age of 35 so that he can spend more time with his kids. He continued to talk about what he's looking forward to the most with them.
