Boosie Badazz affiliate Lee Banks has been quietly hustling out of Baton Rouge for the past five years. His Target Practice series his gained him some regional buzz but he is still looking to take his career to the next level. This week, Banks released a new mixtape called .38, named after his weapon of choice. The 6-track project features appearances from Boosie, Bankroll Fresh, King Sav, Mista Cain, Young Vet, OG Berto, and Mouse on the Track.
Boosie Badazz disciple and self-described "visionary and perfectionist" Yung Bleu has released a mixtape called Investments 3. It's 16 tracks in length and includes features from Boosie, Hogg Booma, & OG$Dre. If you are unfamiliar with Bleu, who hails from Mobile, Alabama, now is your chance to get to know him. Boosie is thankful. This time last year, he was preparing for surgery to remove a cancerous growth in his kidney. The surgery was a success, and Boosie has gone on to release more projects in 2016 than anyone not named Mozzy or Curren$y.
Sancho Saucy of the Sauce Twinz has come through with a new 15-track mixtape: Sanchie P. Of the Twinz, Sauce Walka has achieved a more noticeable solo presence in the game, but Sancho looks to bring his own unique drip to the masses with his latest body of work.
King Soulja 6
In keeping with his habit of dropping a new King Soulja installment every seven months or so, Soulja Boy just released King Soulja 6. Spanning 23 tracks, the tape features appearances from such luminiaries as Boosie Badazz, Rich the Kid, Chief Keef, Mango Foo, Doe Boy, Kid Red, & Trill Sammy. In addition to a bizarre take on Desiigner's "Tiimmy Turner," it tackles such beats du jour as A Boogie's "My Shit" and Kodak Black's "No Flocking."
Street Lottery 3
After a few minor delays, Young Scooter's Street Lottery 3 has finally arrived. With features from Future, Boosie Badazz, Akon, Young Thug, Jose Guapo, Kodak Black, Young Dolph, and more, the mixtape is pretty much a who's who of the current Southern trap scene (plus Akon... an OG trapper in his own right). The star-studded project is 16 songs long... plenty to digest here.
1 AM In Dallas
Spiffy Global is a producer who's been popping up a lot recently on some of the hottest tapes in Atlanta. He's now come out with a tape of his own, 1 AM in Dallas, on which he rounds up some of his best work. Dallas is a place where Spiffy likes to conduct business out of, and 1 AM is around the time when his studio vibe is at its peak, so the tape should transport listeners into the headspace of the exciting young producer.
Boosie Badazz dropped his comeback album earlier this year, and while it's still getting regular plays to this day, Boosie has decided to share a few new numbers to cap off the summer. Coming out of nowhere, Boosie Badazz decides to treat fans to a brand new project tonight called Every Ghetto Every City Vol. 1, which serves as an introduction to Boosie’s collective of artists, The Bad Azz Music Syndicate. Laced with 19 tracks, the project features guest appearances from 50 Cent, Migos, and many others from the Bad Azz Syndicate, including Bando Jonez, Lee Banks, J Day, and more. Meanwhile production is handled by the likes of Metro Boomin, Sonny Digital, Drumma Boy, and more!
Da Last Real Nigga Left 2
Today Plies releases the second installment in Da Last Real Nigga Left. Following the first tape, which dropped in January, the Florida native releases the 21 track follow-up today. Featuring guest appearances from Rico Love, Lil Reese, August Alsina and Lil Boosie, the project is largely carried by Plies himself, with all but one of the spots showing up in the bonus tracks.
King Of Bankhead
Today, ATL veteran Shawty Lo shares a new tape called King Of Bankhead. Referring to the name of a West Atlanta neighborhood (which is also referenced heavily in Shawty's breakout hit "Dey Know"), the tape is his first since 2013's I'm Da Man 4.
Life After Deathrow
Lil Boosie Boosie Badazz announced two days we'd be getting a new mixtape, Life After Deathrow, on the eve of Halloween, and he comes through today with just that. The tape which comes in advance of his double-disc album, Touchdown 2 Cause Hell, features Trey Songz, Yo Gotti, Shy Glizzy and more.
Trapping Made It Happen
Bambino Gold is an up-and-coming rapper known as a one-time affiliate of Alley Boy. Today he delivers his brand new mixtape, Trappin' MAde It Happen, which features guest appearances from Lil Boosie, Doe B, Piff, White DC, and more. Production comes from the likes of Honorable C Note, Big Boi, J. Reid, Will A Fool, and Appollo Beatz, among others. Look out for big things from Bambino Gold this year.
