    LL Cool J's final Def Jam album, entitled G.O.A.T. 2, has been in the works for quite some time, and today we got some more details about the upcoming project. In a new interview with XXL, Cool J reveals that T.I., J. Cole, Raekwon, Loaded Lux, Murda Mook, Uncle Murda, Maino, Mavado and Fred The Godson will all appear on the project. Speaking to XXL, the NYC veteran said:

    LL Cool J and Canibus have been sworn enemies since 1997, when they took shots at one another on LL's crew track, "4,3,2,1". Further diss tracks followed, and while things have certainly calmed down between the two in recent years, it seemed the rapper's relationship would never officially be mended. However, an announcement at a recent LL concert proved otherwise, as the GOAT rapper brought 'Bis out to perform his verse from the very song where the beef ignited at Hot 97's XMAS Show last night.

    The Tony Awards isn't where hip-hop heads typically get their Sunday rap fix but, tonight, Tip & LL Cool J brought a classic Broadway show tune to the 21st century. Performing a rendition of "The Music Man," which Jackman claims may have been the first hip-hop song ever written, the two rappers brought laughs to the crowd and viewing audience at home. Jackman himself spits alongside the two legends as well.

    Active in the industry for nearly 30 years, LL Cool James, has been around the entertainment industry long enough that he has some interesting tales.  In a recent sit down with SLAM, the New York native talks about his ties to the NBA community.  Apparently, he was close with Patrick Ewing, Charles Oakley and Anthony Mason - members of the tough-as-nails Knicks teams of the early 90s.

    N.W.A. find themselves in a familiar spot as they were in last year, with the nominations announced for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. Last year N.W.A was up for nomination, but in the end didn't make the cut, and this year they've returned as a nominee once more. Along with N.W.A, LL Cool J has been nominated. Other notable rock bands among this year's 16 nominations include Nirvana, The Zombies, Deep Purple and Peter Gabriel.

We could also blame this on the ever-waning sales of albums in general. This week, we get LL Cool J's Authentic album as a new entry in Charts Don't Lie. The old school rapper only moved around 13k, and so we gotta ask, what factors played into his serious lack of sales?

    LL Cool J's took to the ring in his iconic "Mama Said Knock You Out" video, and now he'll be lending his lady-charming voice to the narration of one of the upcoming documentary on boxing champion Floyd Mayweather. The doc, simply titled "Mayweather", will give a look into the life story of the fighter. Producer Ross Greenburg describes the project as "an honest portrayal of the controversial and charismatic best pound-for-pound boxer in the world.”
