KROMWELL: Grew up in Western Canada, before eventually settling in the USA, in Brooklyn, in the state of New York. Already heavily listening to house music and trance, Kromwell slowly discovered Hip-Hop, funk and R&B.
Kromwell began listening to many artists in his neighborhood and the surrounding New York Area from Queens to Harlem, the Bronx and even New Jersey.
This triggered Kromwell's passion to dig deeper for clever and poetic ways to reveal the truth in his writing & lyrics.
With these influences in toe; Kromwell soon began recording tracks in a back alley studio. His experience grew watching other artists perform and record, leading him to push that step further, and write, record and perform his own album.
Kromwell’s goal is definitely a different one, then what he witnessed in the underground studios, watching other artist’s record and perform their music.
My sound was unique, because I created it from original content. Most of what I heard other artist's doing, was copied from another artist who was the next big thing.
Kromwell’s interest became fusing different blends & genres of music together, while having every track on the album completely different from one another. Some artists are blending quite a bit already, but it hasn’t taken off all the way yet. So I want to ride that wave and go with a movement.
Kromwell’s debut album entitled LETHAL INDUSTRY is just that; a mixed fusion of ‘Hybrid Pop, Hip Hop, House’, he calls it. ‘I don’t know if that’s a standard term in music, but Hybrid fits my style’. It’s symbolizes my music. A Hybrid is something that adapts to its surrounding, building off its predecessors, becoming immune essentially, a new stronger breed, from that learning.
Not every song contains every genre all at once, but hints of one or two, sometimes three are influenced in a single song track.
Kromwell music is available on Itunes, CD Baby, Rhapsody and many online retailers.
