Why the name Kingrich? “KingRich” like most other artists, has undoubted self belief & confidence in his ability & believes he will soon be regarded as the king of hip hop; hence the ‘King’ part of the name & ‘Rich’ derives from his birth name Richard. Past works or projects? Seeing that he is new to the scene, KingRich hasn’t done a lot of past projects, apart from featuring on the tracks of several other upcoming artists & performing at events of different magnitudes. He signed to Bay Area Music in 2012 & is currently hoping to help take his label to even greater heights. What does he write about? Being a diverse & creative individual, his lyrics can be seen as a reflection of that. His lyrics vary from problems facing our community at large, to love related issues, to the celebration of our independence, & last but not least energized western influenced material that is immensely popular among the youth today.
