Over the weekend we saw 50 Cent address Meek Mill on stage in New York, and the following night, at 50's second show, the newest addition to the G-Unit family, Kidd Kidd, shared a few bars for Meek, but also targeted another MMG member.

On Friday night, at the first of two release concerts in support of 50 Cent's The Kanan Tape, the G-Unit boss was able to get a crowd of New Yorkers to chant "fuck Meek Mill!" Last night, at the second show, moving from BB King's to the Highline Ballroom, G-Unit's Kidd Kidd jumped in on the beef, and rapped lines from an MMG diss track he's apparently been working on.

As he arrived to perform at the XXL Freshmen concert in NYC last Tuesday night, Kidd Kidd was met with an unexpected, unpleasant surprise: undercover cops waiting to arrest him.

Well this is unfortunate. G-Unit member Kidd Kidd was arrested and taken into custody Tuesday night before the XXL Freshmen concert in New York City. The details as for why he was arrested are still unknown, but filling in his place to perform on his behalf was 50 Cent (who was supposed to be his special guest) and the rest of the entire G-Unit family. Footage captured by a fan (see below) shows Kidd Kidd literally getting put into cuffs and taken away by undercover cops.

G-Unit is out on the road promotion their new EP The Beauty Of Independence. Stopping by Connecticut's Hot 9.31, Buck, Banks, Yayo and Kidd Kidd, addressed why their new projects don't have guest features. “I know a lot of [the love] is not genuine... I think a lot of it really is genuine when it comes from the fans,” Young Buck said. “From the artists, nah, I don’t know. It’s like I didn’t see none of you dudes rooting to try to get G-Unit back together when we were not together.”
G-Unit Releases A Surprise New EP, "The Beauty Of Independence"
Well, this is a welcome surprise. After releasing a steady stream of quality remixes--and two original tracks--over the past few months, G-Unit now returns with their first project since reuniting in June. Titled The Beauty Of Independence, the brand new EP hit iTunes at 11:30PM EST and features six brand new tracks from 50, Buck, Banks, Yayo, and Kidd. The album's clear highlight is "Changes," which features 50 addressing his breakup with Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine over a piano-laced instrumental.
