December 2016 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting months in recent hip-hop history.

Kid Cudi's mental health troubles delayed the release of Passion, Pain, & Demon Slayin, which was originally slated to come out at the end of September. Now that he is out of rehab, the album rollout appears to have resumed its course. The album is now slated to drop on December 16th. This morning, Cudi unexpectedly released "Baptized in Fire" feat. Travis Scott.

Big Sean
VERY HOTTTTT
Last night, Big Sean told his fans to expect some new music on Halloween. The treat has now been delivered. His new song, "No More Interviews," is a forceful statement of intent that should catch the attention of the whole rap world. Over a thoughtful instrumental driven by a cheery whistle sample, Sean delivers all raps and no hook. The scene has officially been set for his forthcoming album, and he's sounding as confident as ever.

Kid Cudi Feat. Kanye West
VERY HOTTTTT
If you're well-versed in Kid Cudi's Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon, you're already familiar with the space ballad, "Too Bad I Have to Destroy You Now." Today, what sounds like an early demo of the track has made its way online, and this one features a contribution from Kanye West. Outside of the unmastered production and early fadeout, the main tip-off that this is an unfinished version of the song is Kanye's verse.

VERY HOTTTTT
Kid Cudi's fanbase got its hopes up last night after he let it be known that his latest album, Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin, would not be dropping at midnight due to "some minor sample clearances." Cudi didn't follow up with another release date, though he did promise to remedy the indefinite wait by making two PP&DS tracks available within the next 48 hours. He's already made good on his word, as both "Surfin'" and "Frequency" have made their way onto iTunes and Apple Music.

VERY HOTTTTT
Kid Cudi has been relatively quiet so far this year when it comes to new music, releasing only two new songs in the process with “The Frequency” & “All In.” However thankfully, that’s all about to change soon because the Cleveland rapper announced a couple weeks ago that he has

Last month, Kid Cudi was spotted in the studio working with Kanye West, Mike Dean and Plain Pat, and now we know what they cooked up. Out of nowhere, Cudi decided to take to his Soundcloud page tonight and share the new track “The Frequency.”

Last month we looked at some of the potential influences on Kid Cudi's new album Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven, an album Cudder wants to be labeled as "alternative". One of the artists we felt Cudi may have pulled from is Nirvana, and his new acoustic take on "Confused" is further evidence he's been playing that "Unplugged In New York" album a whole lot.

Kid Cudi just took to twitter to announce that he has cancelled his upcoming "Especial" tour due to various reasons like "production" issues & some personal issues. He says, "I got a lot im dealing with at this time in my personal life too and in order for the shows to be the best experience possible as well as keeping my sanity intact, I need to regroup. I have to."

Earlier this week, Kid Cudi announced that his upcoming album, Speedin Bullet To Heaven, would be a double-disc effort, with disc two consisting of unreleased jams, outtakes, and demos. To go along with this announcement, Cudi also promised that two new tracks were to be coming out later in the week as well, and thankfully that time has arrived.

THROWBACK
For most, A Kid Named Cudi was the introduction to Kid Cudi. Thing catapulted for the rapper when Crookers picked up "Day & Night" to remix, so this was his last moment before hitting the big time. Even at this time, Cudder had his sound mapped out, and he certainly informed the sounds of the highly influential Kanye West departure, 808s & Heartbreak.

I can't recall the last time Kid Cudi released new music. There was that unauthorized leak, and a movie soundtrack contribution, but not much of Cudder's personal releases.

Kid Cudi Feat. King Chip
VERY HOTTTTT
Back in 2010, Cleveland boys Kid Cudi and King Chip (who then went by Chip The Ripper) started a group called "The Almighty GloryUS", which saw only a few tracks to ever see the light of day. Now thanks to Chicago producers Blended Babies & Chuck Inglish (who produced this record), we get to hear a new unreleased track from the former Almighty duo called “Chillen While We Sippin”, which sounds just like the title its given. As the song's producers put it, "this shit is old as hell and the world needs it..."

Audio Push Feat. Kid Cudi, Hit-Boy & Kent M$NEY
VERY HOTTTTT
Hit Boy's HS87 crew is releasing their highly anticipated compilation tonight at midnight, and just before the release, The Plug has graced us with one more offering. "Scorn", which may be the most experimental cut from the project so far, features Audio Push, Hit-Boy, Kent M$ney, and a very special guest spot from Kid Cudi. Cudder has been getting into some pretty adventurous production territory lately, and Hit-Boy makes sure to lace him, and the rest of the crew with a brashly crawling, sax-led epic.

HOTTTTT
Smoke DZA is getting ready to drop his Dream.ZONE.Achieve album, and with the release happening in just under a week, he's decided to give us a warm up in the form of a freestyle. "DZA Season" which the rapper cites is "borrowed from Kid CuDi" finds the rapper taking on one of the more ambient tracks from Cudder's latest project, Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon. While his rap style is certainly a little more traditional than Cudi's these days, the pairing works very well.
Part Time Hater (Mash-Up)
Part Time Hater (Mash-Up)
Big Boi Feat. Kid Cudi & Stevie Wonder
HOTTTTT
Another Monday means another mashup from Big Boi. Following last week’s dope mashup of “Lanes” featuring ASAP Rocky and Phantogram, the Outkast member returns with a mashup of his Kid Cudi-featured record “She Hates Me”, and Stevie Wonder’s “Part Time Lover”, to create "Part Time Hater". Another fun-upbeat mashup from Dungeoneze again right here. Take a listen, and let us know if you're feelin' it?
