Do Yo Gudda (Remix)
HITTA J3 Feat. Problem, Kendrick Lamar & YG
Compton rapper Hitta J3 dropped a mixtape called The Wake Up Call in October 2013, which contained "Do Yo Gudda" (not to be confused with his "Gudda" remix featuring Joe Moses). Today the upcoming rapper returns to "Do Yo Gudda" enlisting fellow West Coast natives Problem, Kendrick Lamar and YG to hop on the record.
That's Me Right There
Jasmine V Feat. Kendrick Lamar
20-year-old R&B pop singer Jasmine V manages to get a verse from fellow West Coast native Kendrick Lamar for her new single “That’s Me Right There”. Premiered on L.A. Power’s 106 Monday night, the track features Jasmine V providing some smooth vocals and a catchy hook, while K. Dot comes in and steals the show with a vicious verse, as expected. This has some serious potential on the charts. Look for this to land on Jasmine's upcoming EP later this Summer. What ya think of Kendrick’s verse?
Do It Again
Terrace Martin Feat. Kendrick Lamar & Wiz Khalifa
Terrace Martin is a talented musician, producer, and songwriter who often works with rappers. This year he dropped 3ChordFold Pulse, a follow up to his debut studio album 3ChordFold. There was a time in 2011 when he was still on his underground mixtape grind, and he dropped off tapes Locke High and Locke High 2.
Buy The World
Mike Will Made It Feat. Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar & Future
Before the weekend started we received a snippet of Mike WiLL Made It's new single "Buy The World" with a line-up consisting of Weezy F, Future and Kendrick Lamar. The full version has arrived a day, and it does not disappoint despite being the clean version (for now). Mike WiLL changes up production style for this one, going a more experimental different direction than the trap-pop "23" with Miley Cyrus, Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa.
Buy The World
Mike Will Made It Feat. Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar & Future
Mike WiLL Made It released a slew of huge singles last year, including Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop", Future's "Sh!t", and his own "23". Still, it seemed that the producer had something big in the works that he was preparing to unleash on the world.
Stay Ready (J Henny Rap Verse)
While we're still waiting on any information on Jhene Aiko's Souled Out, the singer decides to showcase her rap skills on a new version of "Stay Ready." Jhene posted the "J Henny Rap Verse" version of "Stay Ready" on her Soundcloud page, using the verse written by Kendrick Lamar. We've heard Jhene rap a little in the past, hopefully she'll try it out more on Souled Out.
Stay Ready (What A Life) [NOw FUTUR Remix]
Jhene Aiko Feat. Kendrick Lamar
Paris producer / DJ duo NOw FUTUR have put their spin on Jhene Aiko and Kendrick Lamar's "Stay Ready", from the former's recent Sail Out EP, subtly intensifying it with extra layers of percussion and bass. How'd they do? Listen to the original here and let us know how they compare, folks.
How Many Drinks (Remix)
Rick Ross Feat. Miguel & Kendrick Lamar
Well over a year after the release of Miguel's Salaam-Remi-produced single "How Many Drinks" (included on his 2012 album Kaleidoscope Dream), the Mastermind himself has decided to put his spin on the record in true Maybach Music Group fashion. Better late than never, right? This is actually a remix (an "MMG-Mix", to be exact) of Kendrick Lamar's remix of "How Many Drinks", and his verse remains intact. Did Rozay do the cut justice?
SZA Feat. Kendrick Lamar
SZA's new project Z will hit iTunes at midnight, and before that time arrives we've got one last sweet leak from the project, with her Top Dawg label mate Kendrick Lamar. The smooth record contains that same feel we've been hearing on all the leaks, while K. Dot provides a very nice 16s for us to dwell on.
It's On Again
Alicia Keys Feat. Kendrick Lamar
Kendrick Lamar has been putting in work on soundtracks lately. The Compton rapper recently showed up on the "Divergent" soundtrack, teaming up with Tame Impala for "Backwards". He's now hopped on a Pharrell-produced track, helmed by Alicia Keys, which will appear on "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" OST. The song begins with some crashing guitars as K. Dot brings out his premium rasp. Things are then brought down to a key-led stomp when Alicia shows up.
Drugs On The Schoolyard
Blue The Misfit Feat. Kendrick Lamar
Blue The Misfit is a Dallas based producer/rapper, who happens to have been behind the boards on Kendrick Lamar's "P & P". He's now scored a feature from K.Dot on his own track, under a heavily distorted and chopped and screwed veil. It's certainly difficult to pick Kendrick out of the mix. Blue is planning a new project called Child In The Wild, and this dark, half-time stomp of a track will likely appear there.
Really Be (Smokin N Drinkin) [Tags]
YG Feat. Kendrick Lamar
With his debut album, My Krazy Life, dropping in only six days, YG decided to give Funk Flex one of the most anticipated records off the upcoming project to premiere Wednesday night. The Def Jam rapper links up with fellow Compton native Kendrick Lamar for his newest release “Really Be (Smokin N Drinkin)", which is produced by Taylor Gang's own Ty Dolla $ign. A strong left-coast sound that should be digested more than once. Vibe out to this below, and let us know if you're feelin' it?
Kendrick Lamar Feat. Tame Impala
Tame Impala, a quircky, indie/psychedelic rock band hailing from Australia, isn't the most obvious choice for a collab. with Kendrick, but given that the track is for the soundtrack to the upcoming film adaptation of "Divergent" (another fantasy book directed toward tween girls), perhaps words like "conventional" should be thrown out the window, as the soundtrack doesn't seem like a normal outlet for either artists.
To The Top
Jay Rock Feat. Kendrick Lamar
Today we're treated to some previously unreleased music from TDE spitters Jay Rock and Kendrick Lamar. While anticipation for Oxymoron is at an all-time high (or perhaps not, because: leak), we're turning things to the most underrated member of Black Hippy, Jay Rock.
m.A.A.d City (Remix)
James Blake unleashes his 'Harmonimix' remix treatment to Kendrick Lamar's "m.A.A.d city" record off the critically acclaimed good kid, m.A.A.d city album. While the focus of TDE has been on ScHoolboy Q's Oxymoron as of late (rightly so), this takes things back for a minute to K. Dot's debut, however, it's on a whole different vibe than the original.
Bump Nosestalgia (Freestyle), the latest cut from Young Chris. It was released on Thursday, February 6th, 2014. Things are improving for Young Chris with each new offering, and Nosestalgia (Freestyle) is certainly no exception. It's a worthy addition to the Young Chris's catalogue, which has seen much evolution as of late. We're definitely anticipating the next step.
Magazine Vs Magazine
"Magazine Vs Magazine" is the first single from emerging Bronx emcee/producer Euro League's upcoming project Euro Trip: Continuum. It highlights "the juxtaposition between street life and internet fame, [and] how important it is for people trying to get out."
Imagine Dragons Feat. Kendrick Lamar
After a furious performance of good kid, m.A.A.D. city highlight, "M.A.A.D. City", Kendrick busted out a new remix of Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive" on the Grammys. The heavy new track is available on iTunes now. How are y'all feeling about this collaboration? Did Kendrick deserve rap album of the year? Quotable lyrics: "Mark my word/ I'mma make my mark, even when they start that martial law/ Even when these martians alienate my mental state it's still at heart"
For those unaware, Kurt Rambis is a former professional basketball player from Indiana currently serving as as an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Lakers. Sean Price has titled his latest offering after Rambis, and the 1:12-minute lyrical exercise is both grimy and on-point. The cut sounds like it was recorded live during a cypher backed by a beatboxer only. This is pretty much as raw as it gets, folks. Quotable Lyrics
For those unfamiliar, Gee Watts is a rising emcee from Kansas City, Missouri best known for his work with Kendrick Lamar on their March 2013 collab' "Watts R.I.O.T."
