Kendrick Lamar Reacts To Being Given Key To City Of Compton
Kendrick Lamar has always repped his hometown of Compton, California. Now, he’s getting recognition from the city for everything he has done to tell the city’s story and put it on the map (again). Today on Twitter, Compton mayor Aja Brown tweet at Kendrick to announce he’d be receiving a key to the city on February 13th. Kendrick responded briefly and graciously. He included the phrase ‘HUBLUV’, a reference to Compton’s nickname ‘Hub City’ due to its central location within Los Angeles county.

Kendrick Lamar was the Grand Marshal of the Compton Christmas Parade today. He was given the honor by Major Aja Brown, who also invited Bompton's own YG to join the parade and spread the holiday cheer. Lamar rode in the backseat of a slick beige lowrider next to his girlfriend, and YG was decked out in his usual all-red, perfect for the occasion.
