Kelv Young was born in The Bronx, NY. As a child, his mother listened to a variety of music, varying from Michael Jackson to Freestyle music. He would normally sing along to these songs which his mother noted his singing abilities. By the age of 12, he began to rap with friends in his class. Usually rapped parody's of popular songs. He then spent the next 5 years developing his sound, normally while rapping off the top of his head. Also within this period he moved to Florida. He kept his raps under wraps until he was 17, when he began to rap with his co-worker and formed the group "Done Proper". The group was short lived as they both had different views on where they wanted the music to go. Now Kelv Young is a solo artist, and is Capo of Done Proper, alongside Joey Scars, Millie Mike, Jona The Truth, and Bakanushhh. His first mixtape "Loud Whispers" is expected to release Summer '11
