Cole, YG, DJ Mustard, Chance The Rapper, Iggy Azalea, Cypress Hill, SZA, Hit-Boy, Big Daddy Kane, Danny Brown, Pharrell Williams, Nipsey Hussle (maybe) and more this year. Kanye West's set at Philadelphia's Made In America festival was surely the most anticipated of the night. Rumors from "multiple sources" claimed that Ye, who has been vocal about working on his new album, would be premiering some new material at the event. While we didn't get any fresh music (save for a new waterfall installment, the sounds of which we wouldn't put it past Ye to rap over), the fans definitely got more than they asked for, with Yeezy performing an hour-plus long set filled with hits, and of course, some colorful commentary.

Is "808s & Heartbreak" Kanye West's Most Influential Album?
    Aug 30, 2014 at 02:58 PM
In 2014, it's no secret that where Kanye West goes, the rest of hip-hop follows. Starting with him and Just Blaze making "chipmunk soul" a hot sound in Roc-A-Fella's prime, Mr. West's musical output has always been a pretty good gauge of where hip-hop is headed, whether it be his early mantra of having a "Benz and a backpack" or his drill-invigorating remix of Chief Keef's "I Don't Like." But in a career filled with moments of trendsetting and breaking the mold, one era and album stand out as far more influential and forward-thinking than anything West's ever done.

While not a guarantee, Days Before Rodeo provides the listener with the glimpses of the incredible, long-ranging capabilities of Travi$ Scott.

140 Bars Or Less: Tweets Of The Week (Aug. 15)

This hasn't been a great week in America. Beloved comedian and actor Robin Williams passed away under particularly tragic circumstances at the age of 63. Plus, we saw a blatant violation of the first amendment at the protests in Ferguson, Mo., where unarmed African-American male Mike Brown was slain by cops. Although rappers sometimes don't abide by normal people logic, they're still human beings in America. Some felt and reacted to the circumstances accordingly.

For those who saw "Yeezus" live in action, DJ Mano helped create the experience as Kanye West's official tour DJ. Today we get reports that Mano is no longer Ye's go-to tour DJ, as the two have parted ways. DJ Million Dollar Mano announced the news via Twitter, and although the reason for his departure is unclear, a Kanye To The fan compiled a bunch of footage which may or may not answer that question. The supercut is basically a compilation of all of DJ Mano's screw-ups, as he leaves Kanye hanging in the lurch during live shows.

    Jul 20, 2014 at 12:43 AM
Dame Dash has been calling out plenty of industry figures over the last couple months, including Lyor Cohen and Funkmaster Flex. It seems his tirade is not quite complete, as a new interview with Shade 45 found him targeting none other than forrmer Roc-A-Fella signee, Kanye West. The bone Dame had to pick with Kanye was over the recently incarcerated co-founder of the Roc label, Kareem “Biggs” Burke. According to Dash, Kanye has yet to reach out to Biggs since he was locked up for conspiring to distribute large amounts of marijuana.
