Street God 4
Project Pat's 'Street God' mixtape series has become his main focus since he released the first installment last December.
Maybach Music Group
Maybach Music Group released the fifth installment of its Priorities mixtape series Tuesday morning. The 22-track project features nearly the entire MMG roster including Isa Muhmmad, best known as the homeless dude who rapped for Rick Ross at Venice Beach and ended up getting signed. The mixtape also features guest appearances from Juicy J, Young Dolph, Big K.R.I.T., Too Short, & Taiib Kweli.
Juicy J's career experienced a rebirth when he teamed with Lex Luger on Rubba Band Business, and he's kept up a prolific output of the same dark party music since. He's gone from working with Luger to linking with the various members of 808 Mafia.
Where Would The Game Be Without Me
Zaytoven is one of the most prolific and vital rap producers in the game, and the title of his new compilation tape, Where Would The Game Be Without Me, acknowledge as much. 10 tracks in length, the DJ Showtime-hosted project features a collection of Zay's most notable recent productions. Gucci Mane, DJ Esco, 21 Savage, Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert, Migos, Maceo, Peewee Longway, Jose Guapo, and Juicy J make appearances.
Street God 3
Project Pat is on a tear. The Memphis legend dropped Street God at the tail end of 2015 and followed up with the sequel Street God 2 a mere two months later. Pat completes the trilogy this afternoon with the release of Street God 3.
Lit In Ceylon
After releasing Rude Awakening, his joint tape with Wiz Khalifa, last month, Juicy J kicked off this week by dropping his first solo project of 2016: Lit in Ceylon.
Project E.T. (Esco Terrestrial) (Hosted By Future)
Future's exuberant right-hand man DJ Esco is best-known for his residency at Magic City and for inspiring the seminal mixtape 56 Nights. Anyone who watches Esco's vlog knows that he is truly The Coolest DJ In The World.
The Golden Child 2
It's pretty remarkable that Lil Twist just turned 23 years old, given that he signed to Young Money nearly a decade ago. Last we heard from him, he'd just got hit with six felonies. Knocked down but never knocked out, Twist returns with a very solid mixtape called The Golden Child 2.
364 days after the release of his Cheez N Dope 3 mixtape, Project Pat shared a 17-track mixtape called Street God. The 17-track mixtape is Pat's second mixtape of the year, after July's Pistol & A Scale.
Cabin Fever 3
The usually prolific Wiz Khalifa has been relatively quiet this year, releasing just one project -- Talk About It In The Morning, his 5-track collaborative EP with Ty Dolla $ign -- until this point.
O's To Oscars
Over the weekend Juicy J announced a new mixtape, O's to Oscars, revealing it would drop in a few days time. The rapper comes through right on time with the project, rounding up contributions from Logic, Project Pat, Ty Dolla $ign, Wiz Khalifa, DC Young Fly, TM88, Southside, Wondagurl, Zaytoven, Lex Luger, Sonny Digital and more. If you were hoping for more prodcuction from Lex Luger, then the good news is that just this morning Juicy J promised Rubba Band Business 3 is in the works.
If you're a fan of dark, detailed storytelling, then look no further than God. Yes, that's the dude's name, but it'll soon make sense, as most of his lyrics really do bear the weight of the scripture. In addition to his recent collab with mentor Juicy J, "Broke (Remix)," his new mixtape, The Gospel, contains 12 brand new tracks. There are no fillers and no DJ, making for an album-quality mixtape.
Juicy J gave fans little notice about his new mixtape, 100% Juice, which just arrived this afternoon. The TGOD rapper revealed the tracklist last night, which features production from 808 Mafia, Lex Luger, Sonny Digital, Mike WiLL Made It and more. Guest appearances come from Boosie Badazz, Future, Lil Wayne, August Alsina, Wiz Khalifa, Project Pat, Lil Herb and more. Listen and/or download 100% Juice, and let us know if it's another successful addition to Juicy's long-standing mixtape catalog.
Blue Dream & Lean 2 (No DJ)
We began the week with Juicy J dropping the ratchet, but not quite as ratchet sequel to 2011's Blue Dream & Lean, and now he closes it out by dropping a DJ-free version. Eliminating DJ Scream's screams, Juicy now lets us hear Blue Dream & Lean 2 in its unadulterated form.
Blue Dream & Lean 2
After hitting us with his "Tale of 2 Citiez" freestyle, Juicy J is following up with his new mixtape Blue Dream & Lean 2. The mixtape is hosted by DJ Scream once again, arriving five years after the first Blue Dream & Lean. It should hold fans over as Juicy preps THC: The Hustle Continues.
Chevy Woods recently delivered "Sticc 2 The Plan" and "For The Money" in anticipation of his new mixtape, Gangland 3, and today we get to hear the full project.
Cheez N Dope 3
After steadily dropping tracks for the past few months, Memphis' Project Pat is ready to release Cheez N Dope 3, a new, 18 track tape. Featuring the talents of Rick Ross, Juicy J, Young Scooter, Shy Glizzy, Ca$h Out and King Ray, the release has a pretty even blend of solo tracks and features. Production is handled by Lil Awree, Nard & B, Drumma Boy, DJ Spinz, Inomek, Izze The Producer and Mouse On The Track.
Da New Kool
Fat Trel's seen a rise in popularity since signing to Maybach Music Group last Fall, and now he's put his crew on. Slutty Boyz have shared their new tape, Da New Kool, and it's packed with features from Trel, Migos, Wale, Rich Homie Quan, Juicy J, Young Thug, Chinx and many more. Production comes from Young Chop, Honorable C Note and others.
Love On The Run
Signing with Taylor Gang in 2010, Courtney is now readying her debut project, which she's decided to let go for free. Love On The Run will consist of 12 tracks, including her current single "Fooled" which is now available on iTunes.
Don Trip unleashes his new "Randy Savage" mixtape, which is his first project since the severely underrated Stepbrothers 2 album he did with Starlito. This new effort finds Trip linking up with 'Lito once again on "Road Warriors", as well as pulling in features from Young Dolph and Juicy J. Production comes courtesy of The Mechaniks, Yung Ladd, Redd, Izze the Producer, Street Symphony and more.
