Earlier this year, HNHH launched a Spotify playlist called FIRE EMOJI: The Hottest Hip Hop Songs Right Now.  The playlist is updated on a daily basis. It lives on Spotify and thus is inherently imperfect, because not all super-hot hip hop songs have been added to Spotify. Still, the playlist is generally representative of the best new releases in hip hop and R&B.

John Legend is getting ready to release his fifth studio album on December 2 called Darkness And Light, but before he does so he’s got some promoting to do first. At midnight, the follow up to 2013’s Love In The Future will be made available for pre-order on iTunes, ultimately revealing the album cover & tracklist in the process, but for now those details have surfaced online a few hours early.

He announced Thursday morning that the mixtape is finally complete and pre-order will be available tomorrow (Friday, Nov 4). He also revealed a star-studded 23-song tracklist, which features appearances from Chance the Rapper, Wiz Khalifa, The Roots, Dave East, Joell Ortiz, Aloe Blacc, Nas Usher, Miguel, John Legend, Ashanti, Jill Scott, Snow tha Product, Alicia Keys, Kelly Clarkson, Ja Rule, and more.

Luna Simone Stephens, we are so in love with you! And sleepy. Very sleepy."

In 2006, Three 6 Mafia won an Oscar for "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp," from the "Hustle & Flow" soundtrack. Nine years later, at tonight's Academy Awards, another rapper--Common--has taken home the golden statue for Best Original Song. He shared the Award with GOOD labelmate John Legend for their work together on "Glory," from the movie "Selma." Common also co-starred in the film, playing Civil Rights leader James Bevel. During the ceremony, Common and Legend performed "Glory" and received a standing ovation. Watch the performance below.
