Joey AKA stage name Joeyyoungster was born July 20, 1991 in Hempstead, New York. During a time when he resided in an area plagued with detrimental delinquency, his brother Calvin became a tremendous influential aid in his upbringing. Guidance was provided with words of advice, but Joey in his youth was also educated through the dialogue of Hip-Hop, thanks to his brother. Hot 97 was exposed to Joey in the first grade. It was there where he heard tracks such as "A Million and One Questions" by Jay-Z, "Hypnotize" by The Notorious B.I.G, "Hate Me Now" by Nas, and "Changes" by Tupac Shakur. The predominant impact that music from the late 90's and early 2000's had on Joey was inconspicuous at the time, but yet flourished his mind and character. He had no clue that Hip-Hop would be embedded in his blood. He continues to make music that blasts throughout Long Island and New York City area. At 17 years old in high school, Joey was able to release his first mixtape called, "The North Star." In 2009, Joey met up with the Legendary DJ Ralph McDaniels and aired on Video Music Box to spit a rap for the inauguration of Barack Obama. As of November 8, 2011, Joey released his sophomore mixtape, "J. Skyline & The Seven Year Plan." This mixtape hit the streets and the people's hearts with over 880 downloads so far. Since the release, he has been on Nassau Community College radio (90.3FM WHPC) and Kingsborough Community College radio (90.3FM WKRB). All Joey knows is timeless music and he plans to succeed what legends before him, have done. "It doesn't matter what I did to get to this point. What matters, is if I have the smarts to get to the next point," Joey says. You can add him on Facebook by searching for Joeyyoungster. Follow Joey on Twitter @Joeyyoungster
