About J-Curse

J Curse is an American Hip Hop entertainer/producer born Jevon Worthington on May 20th 1987 in Cleveland, Ohio to parents Tye and Maqueda Worthington. Being the oldest of three children, J Curse’s intuitive for leadership came at an early age. Before his journey towards being a rapper, J Curse began producing while in high school at a local friends house. Known for his charismatic spirit, innovative production, and catchy hooks, he earned the moniker J Curse from his awestricken peers. In 2005 he formed the now defunct group HnR (Hustlers Never Rest) with Gates, A Dub, and D Ro. The group gained local stardom with hits such as “Trill Working the Wheel”, “Money Over Everything” , and “Let’s Go”. Due to disagreements within the group, all HnR members went on to pursue solo careers. In 2007 J Curse hit the ground running with his solo venture by releasing a string of radio ready singles such as “She Know”, “Do it”, and his latest track “Sport Fly” which contains a Jay Z sampled hook backed by production of Cleveland producer DJ One. Now the lead act from Cleveland Hip Hop/multimedia powerhouse S.A.Y. (Swag Above Yours) formed by his younger brother Polo, J Curse is ready to take flight via his launch pad debut entitled “Weight/Wait of My City” hosted by DJ Ill Will. With many singles under his belt and stage experience from city wide performances, it is certain that J Curse will be a major act to follow. J-CurseQuantcast
