On the morning of July 4 a new story began, Jaye Crank was born. As a resident in the City of Chester, SC, he grew up in an 'okay' neighborhood. "I would say it was an okay neighborhood because there were problems / issues in the area, but it was not the hood," Jaye stated. Youngest of three, Jaye had footsteps to fill. Trailing a brother by two years, whom was very knowledgeable of the streets and hood life, and a sister by five years, whom was very educated and was knowledgeable of the streets as well, Jaye had to quickly adapt to both. "I would say I ain't a street dude, but I didn't come up with a silver spoon either." Jaye says. All through school, Jaye was an A / AB Honor Roll Student. In middle school, Jaye became a little "hot-headed", trying to follow the crowd. "Grades dropped and so did my self esteem. So I done things that was out of my character." quoted Jaye. After a little run in with Authorities, in late seventh grade, Jaye quickly discovered that was not the lifestyle he wanted to live. From that point, he got his grades back to the way they were, until graduating from Chester Senior High School with honors and a Certificate of Completion in Graphic Communications. Jaye is currently enrolled in college, expecting a Masters Degree in Computer Technology.
