About Jay Wirth

“In April 1995 Mobb Deep released the classic album, The Infamous. That same month, Jay Wirth was born. 16 years later, Jay was an opening act for the first time in his career; the headling act? Mobb Deep. This was not a coincidence. This was the hand of Hip Hop Gods choosing a voice. Jay Wirth is that voice.” My name is Jay Wirth, and I'm a seventeen year old Hip Hop Artist. I've been doing this for three years now and have acquired a substantial fanbase throughout Pennsylvania and the North East. “Growing up in the era of bling, bitches and benzos, Jay Wirth has stayed true to himself. His lyrics are personal and real. His own life provides the life within his music. The verses are conceptual and metaphorical. They require the attention and passion of his listeners because they are written and spit with attention to fine details and a passion toward the art.” Dig deep and get lost in my words, many of you will find a bigger meaning than truly offered at first listen. My influences consist of A Tribe Called Quest, Blackstar, Despot, Atmosphere, Nas, Mobb Deep, Chance The Rapper, J.Cole, Vic Mensa and Mac Miller. Genres never limit me; I try to express myself through all different kinds of musical influence. My last project Bueller dropped on 1/21/14 and demonstrates how far I’ve come with concepts and being able to express my ideas from beginning to end. I plan to do big things in 2014 and this is just the beginning. “This 17 year old senior in high school is about to speed past you. Wake the Fuck Up.” Download, and enjoy. jaywirth.com
