Freekey Zekey Speaks On Past Dipset Beef With Jay Z
In an interview with ThisIs50, Dipset CEO and rapper Freekey Zekey is immediately grilled on the longstanding tensions between Dipset and Jay Z. Apparently when Dipset came over to Roc-A-Fella in 2001, Jay Z largely ignored the crew, instead focusing on other artists on his roster. Cam'Ron tried for months, to no avail, to get Hov in the studio during the recording of his Come Home With Me album. Jay finally agreed, and they recorded "Welcome to New York City".
  • Dame Dash On The Breakfast Club
Dame Dash On The Breakfast Club
Dame Dash recently sat down for an interview with Sway In The Morning, shortly after unveiling his new movie "Loisaidas," executive produced by Kanye West. In true Dame fashion, he got riled up a few times through out the Sway interview. Expect nothing less in his new interview with the Breakfast Club. It starts off with Dame going at DJ Envy for asking about how Dame first met Jay Z, refusing to tell the story.

According To Funk Flex, Jay Z Is Buying Out Hot 97
Funk Flex's name recently graced headlines when he went on a seemingly unprovoked radio rant against Jay Z and his "Life + Times" blog. Following that rant, reports began to circulate that Hov was looking to buy Hot 97. These rumors were later shut down by the company that owns the radio station, Emmis. However in a new interview with Bossip, Funk Flex claims that Jay is looking to buy the station (hmmm). He also talks about losing weight, Kendrick Lamar's Grammy win, Iggy Azalea and more.  Watch the new interview above.

A Young Jay Z Freestyles On TV In 1990
Jay Z is sometimes looked at as something of a late bloomer, and releasing his debut album at 26 certainly makes it seem that way. The truth is though, Jay was rapping for quite a while before that, and one of his first television appearances came in 1990.
  • Goodbye Tomorrow "Jay Z" Video
    Goodbye Tomorrow "Jay Z" Video
A new "mysterious" Chicago artist has been getting a ton of buzz today for this new visual that’s been circling online titled “Jay Z”, and rightfully so. Highlighted by its intense graphic effects and visual enhancements, “Jay-Z” looks to be a thought-provoking message on today’s society that’s acts as the truest form of artistry you’ll see in a long time. Inspired by what looks like something out of Kanye’s “Donda” marketing team, this shit is definitely a head of its time both sonically and visually.

Fabolous At The Roc Nation Throne Boxing Event (Vlog)
As Jay Z continues to conquer all aspects of life, Roc Nation Sports hosted their first annual Throne Boxing Event in Madison Square Gardens on January 9th. The event saw celebrities come out in flocks, including many Roc Nation-managed artists, such as Fabolous and Rihanna. Loso was stunting in his fur outfit with a Pharrell-like hat, and captured the night for those of us who weren't able to attend.

Beyonce & Jay Z Send U.S. Troops Special Message On New Year's Eve
Jay Z and Beyonce planned a special treat for all the U.S. troops that were stationed in Kuwait and Afghanistan over New Year's Eve. The two provided the troops with a private screening of their HBO tour documentary "On The Run," and Bey herself sent them a special message as the troops counted down to 2015. "I just want to say a big thank you to our troops for everything you do to keep our country safe," she said. "We all sleep better at night knowing that you guys are protecting us, and we're filled with gratitude."
  • The Daily Show Defends Jay Z Against FOX News
The Daily Show Defends Jay Z Against FOX News
It's no secret that FOX News has a history of villainizing rappers for their lyrics. What with Cam'ron and Dame Dash's legendary appearance on "The O'Reily Factor," and Bill O'Reily later calling Beyoncé a "gangster rapper," the network has made their stance on hip-hop/R&B clear.

Rick Ross Talks K. Michelle & Lebron Leaving Miami Heat
Ricky Rozay dropped off his latest collaboration with Jay Z, "Movin' Bass," off the upcoming street-oriented album Hood Billionaire. The single is getting mixed reactions on the site (peep it here), but Rozay isn't holding back on promo for this LP for a second.

M.O.P Feat. Busta Rhymes "Broad Daylight (187 Part 2)" Video
Believe it or not, there was a time not so long ago when sampled Jay Z lyrics were some of the most prevalent hooks in the game. Around the time Hov released every acapella from his Black Album for free, his voice popped up on choruses from Cassidy, RZA, Common, Snoop Dogg and more, seeming like the most popular sound of an era.
  • Jeezy Brings Out Jay-Z For "Seen It All" Performance
Jeezy Brings Out Jay-Z For "Seen It All" Performance
Power 105's Powerhouse 2014 attendees were given quite the surprise this Thursday when Jay Z made a special appearance alongside Jeezy for a performance of "Seen It All." The second single from Jeezy's album-of-the-same-name, the track dropped on our pages several months ago to reader-acclaim. Considering the busy schedule of both emcees involved, this one is particularly rare to see performed in its entirely with both artists. Those are the benefits of going to a show in Hova's home city, I guess.
  • Jay Z Punks Tourist In Paris
Jay Z Punks Tourist In Paris
Well here’s a quick laugh for ya courtesy of Jay-Z. While on vacation with Beyoncè and Blue Ivy in Paris, security told tourists and onlookers not to take video as hip-hop’s royal family walked by. However one person wasn’t understanding it, and asked "who is he?" towards Jay, which led Hov to respond with a shade-filled remark "who are you?" as he stared him down walking away. We’re used to seeing this type of behavior from Jay’s good friend Kanye West, but to see Hov stunt on a wanna-be videographer/tourist is pretty great.
  • Denzel Washington Does A Killer Jay Z Impression
Denzel Washington Does A Killer Jay Z Impression
As an actor, Denzel Washington's more known for his dramatic roles than comedic ones, but it turns out the dude is great at impressions as well. While on Queen Latifah's talk show to promote his new film The Equalizer, Denzel regaled the audience with a story about meeting Jay Z. The story, which begins around the 1:20 mark, involves Denzel visiting a studio where Lenny Kravitz and Jay Z were both working. He does the "Jigga laugh" to a T, and then tells how Hova played him the Black Album's "Change Clothes," which is clearly a favorite of Latifah's.

Jay Electronica Talks Drug Use, Album Delays
It's no secret that Jay Electronica's perennially delayed debut album (first announced in, like, 2011) is the veritable Detox for a certain segment of underground-revering, beard-stroking hip-hop listeners, and though we still have no details, Jay spoke on the project in a recent interview.

Those fortunate enough to attend Beyonce and Jay-Z's "On The Run" tour know that one of the show's strongest moments was the epic finale of "Young Forever" and "Halo," mashed up to maximum effect alongside videos of the couple and their daughter, Blue Ivy. If you happened to miss On The Run Tour, the special, the network announced they'd be airing a 24-hour re-run marathon on HBO Zone, which shoulb be happening right now.

Jay Z & Beyonce Share New "On The Run" Trailer

Look out for the full film to screen on HBO Saturday September 20th at 9PM.
