Ja Rule has no interest in any rap beef these days, though don’t expect him to keep his composure when he’s disrespected on stage. Rule was performing a show in Atlantic City this past weekend, and during a rendition of his 2004 hit single “New York,” a beer can was jettisoned from within the crowd, soon meeting the side of the rapper’s head with considerable force, as one can see in the slow motion footage provided by TMZ.

Soon after Meek and 50 started beefing, Murder Inc. founder Irv Gotti decided to back the former, and he left a comment on Meek's Instagram in which he revealed that 50 Cent had filed an "order of protection" against him, his brother (Chris Gotti), and the rapper Black Child. Knowing 50, it was surprising it took him this long, but he has now responded to the Murder Inc. boss.

Ja Rule Names "Back To Back" Among The All-Time Great Diss Tracks Jan 18, 2016 at 12:31am
Ja Rule was recently asked by VladTV to name his top 5 diss records of all time. He didn't name any of the tracks to come out of his beef with 50 Cent, but he quickly rattled off a list that should sit well with most hip-hop heads: Boogie Down Productions' "The Bridge is Over," Nas' "Ether," Tupac's "Hit Em Up," Biggie's "Who Shot Ya" -- though he acknowleges that Big denies it was a diss, and Jay Z's "Takeover." He also mentioned that Ice Cube's "No Vaseline" is a worthy candidate.

Rap is traditionally a young man's sport. Generally speaking, the 'greatest albums of all time' were put out by youngsters. As rappers age, their albums usually become duller than the early work they're best known for. Almost every rapper has fallen victim to this trend.

As summer nears its end, we witnessed a cool-off of sorts before we get albums from Dr. Dre, The Weeknd, Travi$ Scott, Mac Miller and (hopefully) Kid Cudi. Still, there was plenty to be excited about this past week, what with CyHi dissing everyone on G.O.O.D. Music, new tapes from Curren$y and Lil B/Chance The Rapper and some dope, unexpected Chief Keef tracks.  Here's what was happening on Twitter this week.

50 Cent & Ja Rule Resurrect Beef On Instagram Aug 4, 2015 at 02:02pm
It seems the Drake and Meek Mill beef has caused something of a chain reaction. A couple days back, Ja Rule posted on Instagram about comparisons between his own beef with 50 Cent and the current Drizzy fiasco, suggesting that the situations are apples and oranges -- unless, of course, someone gets stabbed or shot. He later clarified the comment was a joke, insisting that he doesn't want to see things escalate, but stressed that the two beefs shouldn't really be mentioned in the same sentence.

If you think back 14 years ago to the first "Fast And The Furious" film, you'll remember that Ja Rule had a role as a driver named Edwin. Go forward to 2003's sequel, "2 Fast 2 Furious," though, and Ja was nowhere to be found, with Ludacris taking his place as the film's resident rapper/actor. John Singleton, director of the first two films, has now revealed that Ja passed on the role of Tej (an expanded version of the Edwin role) in the second film, leading to him approaching Luda for the role.

A History Of 50 Cent Beefs
A History Of 50 Cent Beefs Oct 19, 2014 at 05:34pm
50 Cent has been through so much beef, you could probably dedicate a book to the fights he has picked. Throughout his career, he has never been shy to give his honest opinion about fellow rappers. He has mastered the art of the diss song and pretty much wears the crown for being the king at feuding. His moves to out battle his rivals have been smart, conniving and sometimes just plain deep.

Ja Rule, Jay Z, and DMX have had varying degrees of success since, but in the late 90s, all three of them were pretty much on top their game. It was around that time that the three rappers decided to come together for a supergroup, settling for the menacing name Murder Inc. Things never panned out for a full album, and Ja later took the name for his record label, but fans have continued to wonder what could have been for the group.
Eminem's Celebrity Disses: A Chronology
Eminem's Celebrity Disses: A Chronology Aug 21, 2014 at 04:29am
It's been well over a decade since Eminem reveled in the center of seemingly every fiery controversy in popular culture. Never before had an artist dragged so many bystanders into his path of destruction. His assaults were ghastly, yet outstanding displays of rhyme, cadence and character. In the years of his prime, many would step foolishly into his crossfire, while others simply had it coming. The rest caught stray bullets.
