Izzy Cash is a first-class, up and coming Brooklyn, NYC based hip-hop artist from Grenada, who skillfully puts out harmonious hooks, heralding a smoothly precise lyrical flow. Izzy’s musical content includes a variety of personal topics: women, work, hip-hop, the pursuit of success and loved ones passed on. Currently finishing up his latest mixtape, Regime Reloaded, Izzy is proud to have worked with artists like Q Butter and LFL’s own CEO, Veronica (V-Nix). His real-to-life libretto can be heard on songs like “Born A Queen,” “Ballin,” “Starving Artist” and “Living the Way I Should.” These songs and more can be found on Reverbnation, Soundcloud, Facebook, Youtube, Itunes and don’t forget to check his Twitter feed.
Izzy’s aspirations are derived from absorbing the music of his childhood. “I’ve always been into music. Always singing along with the songs on the radio. I learned melodies from there and pretty much went out on my own.” As a self-taught musical artist, Izzy has diligently developed his own voice around his natural abilities.
Izzy hopes to take his modest beginnings to the lavish spoils of hip-hop greatness, striving to provide his family with enough and then some. His main motivation and inspiration is providing for them. This kindred cause drives him to continue making his dream into a reality, by way of hard work and a passion for the art form. This mentality is one of the cardinal messages that he hopes to communicate to his audience.
“I rap about real life situations. Realistically, if a person really wants to succeed they have to live positively. You have to feel like good things are coming and that you are living to the fullest. A successful person has to do more than lackadaisically sitting around. It may be hard to accomplish, but anyone can do whatever he or she wants, as long as that person is willing to put the work in and the motivation comes from the heart. I love music. I love it and I want to spend my life creating more of it. I can’t think of anything better than that.”
High-level artistry and Brooklyn verisimilitude bleeds through in Izzy’s music, providing the personality that makes his songs relatable, audibly pleasing and mentally stimulating. He’s honest with himself and his audience, so if you like music that is quick, smart and fresh Ritz crisp, check him out and enjoy.
