"Barbershop: The Next Cut," the first "Barbershop" film in 12 years, will be released on April 15, 2016. "Barbershop" is a classic film in its own right, "Barbershop 2" managed not to submarine the franchise, and now "Barbershop: TNC" is on the way, with Nicki Minaj, Eve, and Common joining Ice Cube and Cedric the Entertainer in the cast.

Jerry Heller, the former manager of N.W.A., is suing all those involved in the group's recent biopic, Straight Outta Compton, for (at least) $110 million, reports TMZ. Heller, now 75, has just filed a lawsuit against Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, the estate of Eazy-E, NBC Universal, and others for defamation and using his likeness in their film without his permission.

Ice Cube was performing last night in Long Beach, when mid-performance, a fist fight broke out right near the front row. Cube definitely looks like the kind of man who will take no bullshit, and so he abruptly ended his show, announcing "show over." In fact, he even told the crowd, "this is bullshit," while security attempted to break up the fight. Footage from the concert shows the immediate aftermath, take a look below.

Kanye's VMA speech was a rare moment where everyone seemed to be on the rapper's side, even when he announced he'd be running for president in 2020. The support for Kanye's campaign has continued throughout the week, and as it happened to be the hot topic, Ice Cube was asked about his stance on the matter in an interview with the Daily Mail. Naturally, he was on board. "I'm voting for Kanye," said Cube confidently, suggesting West is pretty much the best man for the job. "Why not? Who Else? Who's better than Kanye to run?"

The N.W.A. cart takeover is far from over. this week, nit only did Dr. Dre's new album (and accompaniment to the film), Compton, maintain its position at the top of the rap charts, but both the group's seminal album, Straight Outta Compton, and Eazy-E's effort, Eazy-Duz-It made it into the top 40.

"Straight Outta Compton" had a strong opening day, garnering $24.2 million in ticket sales in 2,754 North American theaters. Thursday night screenings raked in an estimated $4.96 million alone. The film is now projected to net $59.4 million over the course of its opening weekend, according to Deadline.

On this day, 27 years ago, N.W.A released their indisputable classic, Straight Outta Compton. Selling over 750,000 copies before they even gained notoriety on tour, N.W.A recieved immediate controversial attention from the media for their lyrical content, which was often violent and/or focused on dissatisfaction with police. Yet, the album apprehended its classic status from the insurmountable cultural influence and anthems it provided to a distinct period of time, which continues to be represented today.
