On April 16th, J-BO, was born in Phoenix, Arizona to Carolyn and Robert G. Williams Jr. His mother is a native of Arizona while his father, who was murdered on November 9, 2002, was from Houston, TX. After growing up in the inner city of Phoenix, Arizona a dominate crip neighborhood, J-BO received a football scholarship to Utah State University in Logan, Utah. Shortly after being introduced to Dushine "Pacman" Smith, J-BO quickly found himself embracing the art of music and never more so than when he was place on the IR with a lower leg injury. In 2009, he released his first street mix-tape titled "Fully Loaded" Vol. 1, which was a tribute to his deceased cousin Mikel Kevin Byars, also known as Kellogz who was murdered December 21, 2002.
Unlike most major artists who have been in the music business most of their lives, J-BO has just begun to scratch the surface and explore his musical talents. Through his lyrics, he reflects on his rough past, and his wild attitude while allowing his audience to understand where he has been and what he has experienced. He has toured and opened up for some of Hip-Hop's legends such as (Mack 10, The Game, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Cypress Hill, DJ Quik, Warren G, E-40, Too Short, Dogg Pound, Whiz Khalifa, Paul Wall, Lil Keke, Suga Free, Baby Bash & more). His music can be heard on various mixtapes, and remixes from several major artist. With his musical capabilities and motivation, he is definitely one of the young rising stars in the game coming out of Phoenix, AZ. He is currently working on his second digital mix-tape "SlaughterVILLE 2", which is scheduled to be released in 2014.
