Hood Blues is a producer, director, filmmaker that happens to know how to rap. Born and raised in South Central, California, HB took to the arts early in life. As his parents struggled with a drug addiction, HB keep busy writing instead of a chasing fast money and a fast life.
HB had previously been apart of a successful rap group from Killeen,TX named U.N.I but the group dismantled in late 2005. That had left him without direction for sometime but his desire persisted. The life HB tried so hard to separate himself from finally caught up with him landing him in prison. Now he had become a statistic and fell into a hopeless depression.
Upon his release in 2008, to pass time, HB started to record all those writings he had in a box in the storage. The first 14 songs he titled "On Hells Edge" because he felt "hopeless and dead on the inside" and needed to vent. During his span in prison his life completely crumbled, he had no place to live, nothing to eat and no money in his pocket. He connected with some great producers online who saw the vision and he spent all his time recording music.
His work ethic proves he has a place in the music industry. An alternative to what's going on but a breath of fresh air, none the least.
