Chino “Hard Hitta” Castro was born in Lynn MA, but raised in San Diego California.HITTA, was on a different lifestyle path. With his gang affiliation and numerous violate acts, HITTA found himself in and out of trouble and in and out of jail. At some points homeless, HITTA roamed the streets of Southeast San Diego becoming involved in every possible negative thing. Sitting in jail, HITTA also boxed, recreationally for 8 years as a child but still could not stop writing and never let go of his love for music.early in 2003, HITTA made the difficult transformation to HITTA. Someone who was ready to change and turn the negative energy that he harnessed and tunnel it into writing. Writing lead to rapping. Soon after, HITTA began to record his music and marketing himself. One way was via Myspace. It only took a short amount of time before HITTA and K$TAR found each other. First only doing cross promotion, they became great friends and business associates. HITTA joined ARTABLAZE a little while before the release of K$TAR's sophomore mixtape The Gossip Vol 2-Im Hungry. Due to distance, HITTA was unable to make the second mixtape. HITTA soon realized that he needed to be on the east coast with his team. After listening and mentoring each other, they decided to go into the studio together recording their first track earlier this year, Hated By Many. Magic occurred. And it hasn't stopped since. Currently they continue to, write, record, produce, and perform together nationally.
With influences like Lil Jon, Cuban Link, Big Pun, Bone Thugs, DMX, Youngbloodz, T.I., Akon ,Twista, EMINEM, 2PAC ,Biggie ,BIG L, NAS and Jay-Z its no wonder that HITTA embodies a mix of all of them. His versatility allows him to create music for all types of people and styles. Whether you are relaxing at home, getting ready for the club, at the club or just need something to play in you car, HITTA can definitely deliver something to suit whats needed.
HITTA has made a huge splash on the underground hip hop scene with appearances on various mixtapes and ground rumbling performances. He has also released his own mixtape called “Blowin Out Ya Speakers Vol. 1” with Vol2 not to far behind it.
