On the date of October 3, 1984 Tyler Monk aka "HalfA" was born. Raised in the Pacific Northwest in the city of Portland, OR his love for music developed at a young age. It wasn't until high school that he found his true passion. His love for making music was inspired by family, friends his surrounding environment and critics. It all started with the essence of free-styling. From there he developed as an artist and, advanced the art form into writing stories about his experiences and life. His style is full of passion, creativity and authenticity. Those are the three attributes that he will judge himself upon. If he can stay consistent with these attributes and always be innovative with his raw lyrics and sound he feels that he can reach personal satisfaction, which is what he base his career on.
