GNA, meaning Gifted New Artist, are a musical duo who are about to take the music industry by storm. Consisting of Anton Murphy (AM aka Dreamz) and CJ Obi (Cee-J) both born and raised in South London, they started rapping from the age of 15. Lucky enough to have the opportunity to have a good education and attend top 10 universities, music was slightly pushed aside in their lives, yet they remained the closest of friends, and were responsible for a cult university song called ‘Why Did I Drink?’ which resulted in an inter-university tour. Many have compared the two experimental artists as the UK version of the ‘New Boyz’ with an improved lyrical content! GNA are no fools, and are also focused on building their record label, GNA Records, having already signed the well renowned DJ... 8T8. Their debut single is entitled ‘The Break Up’ and features the unique indie/rock singer known as Cosmo K and is produced by ‘Jazdeep’ responsible for hits such as Tinie Tempah's 'Wife Riddim'. GNA said about Cosmo K, “She adds something really eerie and sultry to the song and we are proud to have worked with such a talent”. They hope their first song is appreciated and a video for the track should be out soon... GNA have many surprises in the pipeline and expect their next song to feature ‘Tribal Magz’ (The guy responsible for the Tribal Skank) over a crazy beat produced by VersaBeatz! You can follow them both on twitter at @anton_murphy and @ceejgna
