Charts Don’t Lie: June 9
This week r'n'b singer and hit-maker extraordinaire, The-Dream, enters the charts with his latest effort, IV Play. The-Dream is an interesting artist to analyze, because while he creates hits on top of hits for tons artists in the game, his own fan-base is much smaller, yet extremely devout to the singer. The-Dream writes (and produces) tracks of all kinds for huge stars like Rihanna, Kelly Rowland, Beyonce etc. It's kind of strange to think that all your favorite female singers get their content from one man.
Summer Jam Recap: Performances From Chris Brown, A$AP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar & More
HotNewHipHop.Com was on site the day of Hot 97's Summer Jam concert, which took place this past Sunday on June 2nd. We brought the whole team down to cover the event, including the Festival Village stage, of which we were a sponsor! The Festival Village was probably just as crazy as the main event, because we had a tent set up right beside the Festival Village stage, where Action Bronson, A$AP Ferg and Kid Ink all came to sign autographs (plus we were giving out HNHH towels and t-shirts).

Lyrics Of The Week: May 10-16
There's quite a bit of repetition in the game these days, and specific lyrics tend to get overlooked. This is an opportunity to take a closer listen and really consider what these artists have to say. We encourage your opinions. Also, it's hard to get everything right - if you notice any errors, don't hesitate to let us know in the comments section. Lines we're not quite sure about will be bolded.

The first few months of 2013 passed with the hip-hop game in limbo, with a severe lack of albums that sparked everyone's attention.
