Fred The Godson Songs

  • Mayweather Pacquiao
    Mayweather Pacquiao
May 2nd is looking at being the biggest sporting day of the year (and gambling), with the NBA/NHL playoffs, Kentucky Derby, Red Sox-Yankees, and of course Mayweather vs. Pacqiuo fight all going down on that Saturday. With the Mayweather fight being titled the biggest fight in boxing history, it was pretty obvious that we'd start to see some tracks with Mayweather and Pacquiao's names involved.
  • Mack Shit
    Mack Shit
Big Trill was born in Queens, New York, but Memphis raised him, which is more than evident in his music. He caught the attention of regional legend Project Pat recently, and while the two are working on an EP together, Trill has decided to unearth an older gem. "Mack Shit" collects Fred The Godson and Crunchy Black, as well as a banging beat and hook from Drumma Boy, which makes you wonder how it was just lying around.
  • Barbarians
    Barbarians
Fred The Godson has been on the remix tip lately, most recently tackling Dej Loaf’s buzzing single “Try Me” & Shmurda’s “Hot Nigga” instrumentals. Tonight, he decides to get back to the original content and release this new track called “Barbarians” featuring Slaughterhouse member, Joell Ortiz. Hopping on this Heatmakerz-produced beat, Fred and Joell show off their lyrical abilities and prove why they’re some of the nicest emcees in the game today. Look for this collab to see life on Fred’s upcoming project, Contraband 2, which is on the way.
  • Hood 2 Hood
    Hood 2 Hood
It's been a minute since Bad Lucc popped up on the site, but he finally makes an appearance today with the hard-hitting "Hood 2 Hood." The rapper recruits artists from across the U.S. in order to prove the point-- with Trick Trick repping Detroit, Fred The Godson repping New York, and Mitchy Slick holding it down for San Diego. Bad Lucc's affiliate Problem is behind the production, as well as Kalby, and the two cook up an over-the-top beat. They could have laid off on the sound effects, just a tad.
  • Try Me (Freestyle)
    Try Me (Freestyle)
DeJ Loaf's "Try Me" is kind of waning in popularity, with the few new freestyles over it popping up this week being much fewer in number than the song's crop of remixes in weeks prior. Still though, some rappers are late to the game, including Fred The Godson, who just added some bars to the Detroit street single.
  • Hot Nigga (Freestyle)
    Hot Nigga (Freestyle)
There’s no denying the impact Bobby Shmurda’s “Hot Nigga” record is having on the industry. We've heard everyone from Jeezy, Juicy J, Ace Hood, & T.I. (to name a few) tackle the Jahlil Beats-produced banger, and today we’ve got another version coming from Fred The Godson.
  • Verrazano (Remix)
    Verrazano (Remix)
Queens rapper One Take makes his HNHH debut with the remix to his successful street single "Verrazano." The original, feature-less track, was made available in early February and has slowly gained itself a following ever since.  Produced by Johnny Benjamin, the single draws influence from other the south while remaining distinctly New York--the "Verrazano" referred to being, of course, the Verrazano-Narrows bridge that connects Brooklyn and Staten Island.
  • The Power Team (Gordo Season)
    The Power Team (Gordo Season)
Producer Swiff D is preparing an album, which will likely feature a few different emcees. We now have a new offering from the project, which features a verse from Fred The Godson. After the impressive 16, Fred drops some exciting news on us, indicating that he has two joint mixtapes in the works, one with west coast rapper (and Problem collaborator) Bad Lucc, and one with Baton Rouge's Kevin Gates, who recently cited The Godson as one of his favorite current rappers. He's also got a solo EP coming up.
  • Dying Breed

  • Draft Day (Freestyle)
    Draft Day (Freestyle)
Its no surprise to hear rappers already tackling Drake’s recent infectious hit “Draft Day”. After premiering Euroz' freestyle earlier today, New York’s own Fred The Godson decides to take on Drizzy’ Johnny Manziel tribute. The Boi-1da produced beat is still so new that most rappers sound fresh on it, this the case for Fred The Godson. Still not quite Drizzy, but definitely worthy of a listen. Check it out, and let us know what ya think!
  • Everything
    Everything
Fred The Godson flips an unlikely sample on his new track, taking Shakira and Wyclef's "Hips Don't Lie" (also used briefely on Lord Tariq & Peter Gunz's Déjà Vu), and turning it into a hard NY anthem. He grabs some of the cities current MVPs, French Montana and Vado for the occasion, who drop a hook and a verse respectively.  Yesterday, we got a Biggie tribute from Fred, who decided to go in over the "Warning" instrumental.
  • March 9th (Warning Freestyle)
    March 9th (Warning Freestyle)
As we hope most of y'all know or have realized by now, today, March 9th, marks the untimely passing of The Notorious B.I.G. seventeen years ago. As such, South Bronx, New York City emcee Fred The Godson has taken the opportunity to drop "March 9th", a tribute to Biggie which finds him freestyling over Easy Mo Bee's "Warning" instrumental.
