Fr3Dom originally started off as being Fr3d & D.O.M., which was the collaboration of Frederick Sowemimo and Dominic Saddler making songs together. Even though they had known each other prior to making songs, what brought them together was their love for lyricism in music over everything else. They first began making music together in early 2010 when asked by their youth pastor to make a theme song for the youth camp that year. After finishing the theme song titled “Unleashed”, they decided not to stop there and made two more songs that were to be performed at the youth camp. These songs were titled “Genesis” and “Change Your Ways”. After youth camp these two artists decided to continue making songs together. This then led to the formation of “Genesis Remix”, which was their debut collaboration song that they posted on YouTube. After the responses on “Genesis Remix” exceeded Fr3d & D.O.M.’s expectations, they decided to work on a mixtape project which would be titled “The Take Over: Mixtape” to drop on November 1, 2010. While writing and recording the songs for the mixtape, Fr3d & D.O.M. decided to officially become a rap group called Fr3Dom. Fr3Dom came from the combining of the artist’s names together, which symbolized the progression of them as being solo artists to becoming a rap group. The formation of this name shows them being at a new beginning as artists who will become highly recognized very soon.
