"I'm a Recording Artist" Biography: "Smooth, sexy, and hype" is how upcoming recording artist “Flame” describes himself. Born January 5th 1991 in Detroit, Michigan Damon Raymone Perryman is on his way to becoming a mainstream artist. Being raised by his grandmother Barbara and mother Jonetta, Damon was taught to strive for the best. As the only boy and the oldest of 3 children he was shown how to be a respectful and responsible man. Watching over his two younger sisters Orlandra and Jonae he quickly learned how to treat a woman the right way. Flame's career in music wasn’t planned it just evolved. It all began in high school, battle rapping with friends for fun to see who was the best freestyler. Even though he lost a few battles his love for rapping grew and Damon realized he had a passion for music and has been embracing it ever since. Influenced by Lil Wayne, Drake, T.I. and Wiz Khalifa his music, style and delivery have helped him grow into the artist you see today. Starting a Buzz on the streets he has collaborated with a few artists such as Yung Streetz, Rich Kings and T.Y.P. He also performed at many different venues such as The Detroit Opera House, The Ritz, The Bank Night Life Belle Isle and The Emerald Theater . Flames’ first official mixtape entitled “The Flyest Lame At Mostly Everything (F.L.A.M.E)” will be released in Mid 2012. One of Flames’ many goals is to familiarize his name and musical abilities with the world. He considers himself unique from other artists because his music is appealing to any age and gender and because he has more than one style of music. A long term goal of his is to be known as one of the greatest and eventually start up a Record label that will be named “Major League Entertainment”. In a short interview Flame stated that he always had the best of the best and that’s what he’s used too so he won’t settle for nothing less and he won’t stop until he reach the top. Damon “Flame” Perryman exerts the potential and professionalism to do big things in the entertainment/music industry.
