Last Friday, HNHH hosted the official launch event for new streetwear brand Sixth Floor NYC in Brooklyn. Featuring a pop up shop and performances from DJ Wonder, Father and OG Maco, it was our first official event in New York, and thanks to some great performances, it was quite the night. Photographer Elijah Dominique was on hand to capture everything that went down, so check out his flicks in the gallery above.

After an OVO-themed edition of Staff Picks last week, we're back to a more varied round-up of artists and songs chosen by the HNHH staff. We didn't have any big developments in the Drake/Meek Mill beef this week, at least not song-wise, although Meek is still going at Drake during his live shows. In terms of music, we we're excited to receive a new single from Mac Miller, and CyHi The Prynce came out of hiding as well (both picks on this wee

Beef, or at least, legal issues, appear to be brewing between two Atlanta upstarts, Father and Key! Both artists rose to prominence last year, alongside ILoveMakonnen, off the strength of their collaboration "Look At Wrist." Key! was one of the founding members of Two-9, although he parted ways with the collective before they signed with Mike WiLL Made It. Father is part of the underground yet buzzing Awful Records.

Advancements of the infinite tool that is the Internet have made collaborating among musicians exponentially easier. Gone are the days where it was nearly impossible to create music without musicians being in the same studio at the same time. Now artists and producers are able to collaborate despite being in different parts of the country, or even across the globe. One can simply email over a verse or an instrumental that can be worked with, and tweaked, into a musical masterpiece. This makes any collaboration possible and has resulted in some incredible creations recently.

After kicking off the first HNHH Staff Picks playlist last Friday, we're back again today with round two. This week we had a pretty solid showing of singles on the song's list almost every day, and there were definitely quite a few VERY HOTTTTT records, so it's safe to say we had a lot to choose from.

Atlanta, Atlanta, Atlanta. As far as new music goes, in the rap scene, no one is doing it quite like Atlanta. Migos, iLoveMakonnen, Rich Homie Quan, and Young Thug are a few of the bigger names to pop up out of the scene recently, but Father is right up there in that conversation as well.

This week, we saw big releases from Wale and Ludacris, the (anticlimactic) announcement of Jay Z's new TIDAL streaming service, and some sick new tapes from T-Pain, iLoveMakonnen and Wiz Khalifa/Ty Dolla $ign. At the end of 2015's first quarter, we've gotten a ton of quality music, and it's looking like the rest of the year will keep the energy and excitement up.

"Playing with your parts hopping in and out the friendzone..." Father really ain’t shit, y'all. He went on tour, dropped this chill ass 12-track album appropriately titled Who's Gonna Get Fucked First? on the interwebs last week, and did not run any of this by me...'cause we were totes besties back in two years from now.

    Rappers To Watch In 2015

We know you're probably sick of all the year-end lists from last year, but we're already in the second month of 2015, and we're hypothesizing who will get their big break in the coming months. This time last year, Bobby Shmurda came across a particularly fiery Jahlil Beats production on YouTube. Months later, iLoveMakonnen would see Drake remixing his song on Instagram. Crazy shit happens in hip-hop, and we wanna stay ahead of the curve. Some of the names on this list will be more familiar than others, but all these rappers have the potential to have huge come-ups in 2015.

Awful Records are a tough bunch to pin down. For starters, there are fifteen of them, and everyone seems to drop a new project every three or four months. Then there's the fact they seem to lack a unifying sound, all going off in their own directions, each one seemingly more leftfield than the next. While this might give some managers and industry folk headaches, for listeners, it's a definite blessing. Take a week to get acquainted with one Awful project, and by the time you check back on their SoundCloud, three new ones will have surfaced.

Paternity Test Proves That Soulja Boy Did Not Father 5-Year-Old Boy

Way back in December 2013, Soulja Boy found himself in the midst of a media frenzy when the rapper's ex-GF Diamond Shantaniece Mackey had claimed he was her son's biological dad. The case gained momentum when Mackey released a photo of her and Soulja (in the gallery above) around the time of her son's conception.
