Fabolous Announces "Summertime Shootout 2," Reveals Artwork
In November of last year, Fabolous dropped his first Summertime Shootout mixtape, and this year he's coming back for more.

Less than 24 hours after police officers shot and killed 37-year-old black man Alton Sterling on Baton Rouge, LA, a Minnesota cop fatally shot 32-year-old Phlando Castile, also a black man, at at traffic stop on Wednesday night.
The Best Hip Hop Songs (On Spotify) Of June 2016
ICYMI: HNHH recently launched a Spotify playlist called FIRE EMOJI: The Hottest Hip Hop Songs Right Now. The 40-track playlist is updated on a daily basis. It lives on Spotify and thus is inherently imperfect, because not all supa-hot hip hop songs have been added to Spotify (e.g. those recent ScHoolboy Q releases). Still, the playlist is generally representative of the best new releases in hip hop.
Fabolous Explains His Reaction To Desiigner's "Panda" Performance At The BET Awards
There were many memorable performances at last night's BET Awards, including Future's knockout rendition of "Wicked" and Janelle Monae's inspired tribute to Prince. Brooklyn newcomer Desiigner was also enlisted to make his award show debut, and he provided quite the spectacle with his performance of his one and only single, "Panda," which happens to be one of the year's biggest hits.
Fabolous Teases Two Possible Projects To Drop This Summer
Fabolous was one of the many performers who took the stage at Jam'n 94.5's Summer Jam on June 16th, but before he graced the stage, he took a few (or rather, six minutes and 56 seconds) to speak with 2/3 of the Breakfast Club, aka DJ Envy and Angela Yee. The trio first start talking about Loso's sneaker collection versus Envy's, with Envy revealing that he gave Loso a pair of sneakers off his back (er, closet). Then, they get into the music.
Summer Jam 2016 Recap
“SEVERE WEATHER ALERT: A storm is expected to hit between 6:00pm – 7:30pm. For your safety, please seek shelter in your vehicles.” Thus began Summer Jam 2016.
Artists Pay Tribute To Muhammad Ali Following His Death
News of Muhammad Ali's death at the age of 74 broke Friday night, inspiring mourning of the beloved athlete on social media, but also, celebration of his philosophy and accomplishments. Through the night, we've seen an outpouring of tributes from all types of people the three-time world heavyweight champion has inspired, including many artists working in hip-hop.

Happy Memorial Day. The past week has been a wild one, what with the chaos at T.I.’s NYC show, Gucci Mane’s release from prison, and a new Kevin Gates tape. Summer’s officially here, so expect things to keep picking up in the rap game— we’ve got a ScHoolboy Q album, SremmLife 2, and a bunch of other heat on the way. On the top tracks side of things, there was quite a bit of turnover in our list this week, with only the bottom and top tracks from the last edition making return appearances.
Staff Picks Playlist (May 27)
Perhaps this week's playlist won't be as useful as usual, as most rap fans will likely have GuWop on repeat all weekend in celebration of the Trap God's surprise release from prison yesterday. He had been locked up for three years, and unsurprisingly, he recorded a track on his first day out, aptly titled "First Day Out Tha Feds," produced by his reliable longtime collaborator Mike Will Made-It.
Top Tracks: May 9 - May 15
In contrast with the first few months of 2015, when it seemed like our Top Tracks lists were just the same Kanye and Drake tracks rising and falling with each ensuing week, the past few editions have been utter chaos, with the #1 spot changing every week. Staying power is proving difficult to achieve in an increasingly crowded summer playing field-- Beyoncé and Birdman's chart-toppers from two and one week ago, respectively, are nowhere to be found this week, although a few of the lower-ranking tracks stuck it out.
Top Tracks: May 2 - May 8
With VIEWS out in the world and disappointing the majority of those who heard it, there's now a new music void that many rushed to fill this past week as summer rapidly approaches. Desiigner's "Panda" and Drizzy's "One Dance" are still frontrunners for the "song of the summer" title, but there's plenty of time for new entries to rise and compete with them.
Staff Picks Playlist (May 6)
Since the release of VIEWS, things have calmed down slightly, however today turned out to be a massive day for album releases, as you can tell by the multiple album streams we've posted this morning. These aren't necessarily Drake-status artists who are about to break the internet, but the quality is extremely high-- Skepta, JMSN, James Blake, Rittz, Kaytranada and Mike Posner have all dropped albums today (and I'm probably missing someone).
Nas, Fabolous, Talib Kweli Headline The Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival
The Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival has previously hosted the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Jay Electronica, and Q-Tip, and this year, they've assembled a characteristically solid group of headliners. Now in its 12th year, this summer's fest will feature performances frim Rapsody, Talib Kweli, Fabolous, and -- the main event -- Nas.
Fabolous & Jadakiss Announce "Freddy Vs. Jason"
Jadakiss and Fabolous are two of the more reliable New York vets, and they tend to deliver any time they get on a track together. Therefore, the suggestion that the two could have more new music in the works is cause for celebration, and from our perspective, it seems like it could be a joint project."Freddy Vs. Jason coming soon," wrote Fab on Instagram, captioning a photo of himself and Jada. While the title could signify anything from a song to an album, we have a feeling it'll be a mixtape -- at least that's what we're hoping at this point.
Lover’s Rap: Rap Songs To Bump On Valentine's Day
Hip hop might not be the most romantic of musical genres, but occasionally an MC will step up to the mic to deliver a poetic love song. Certain rappers find their niche in that style of R&B/rap crossover, while others just dabble in it one-off style for all the romantic cats out there.

2016 is looking like it's gonna be a fast year. Yeezy decided to become the year's frontrunner after jumping over Jumpman on New Year's Eve, and somehow, he outdid himself the next week, dropping a two-in-one package that had one of the craziest debuts in HNHH history -- and continues to do huge numbers.
Fabolous Bought His 7-Year Old Two Rolexes Worth Over $30k
While some of us are out here are struggling to buy a fake Rolex in Chinatown, Fabolous is giving his son two Rolexes and the kid is only 7-years old. Two, cause a 7-year old needs options.
Fabolous Pushes Back "The Young OG Project 2"
It hardly seems like Christmas without a new project to bump from Fabolous. The rapper has made it his tradition to give fans a new release on Christmas Day, whether it was from his Soul Tape series or The Young OG Project. This year though, we'll be without a Fabo Xmas day release. You could always return to Summer Shootout, though.
#TBT: Fabolous 2006-2010
Back in July we threw it back to Fabolous 2001-2005 gems, and today we're taking a look at the second half of that decade. By compiling tracks from 2006-2010, we've revisited releases like From Nothin' To Somethin' and Loso's Way, albums that helped to solidify Fabo's legacy as one of the great New York rappers of the post-B.I.G. era.
