Eminem No Longer Holds The Record For Most Words In One Song
In 2013, Eminem set the record for the most words used in one song, due to his blindingly fast verses on "Rap God". Unfortunately, his 1560-word record has now been bested, and chances are you've never heard of the guy who did it. Harry Shotta is the man behind "Animal"-- another 6 minute song that features some impressively speedy double time, and set a new record for words-per-song, coming in at 1771 total.
Eminem's Top 5 Songs From Movie Soundtracks
Eminem's lengthy career has been littered with various endeavors, but the projects he attaches himself too always seem to make sense-- he's not out here making frivolous moves just 'cause. From producing for select artists, to forming his own label Shady Records, to working on movies like "8 Mile," it's usually something that hits home for Em. It was announced the other month that the rapper would be executive producing the upcoming film, "Southpaw," which stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Forest Whittaker and Rachel McAdams.
Eminem To Executive Produce "Southpaw" Soundtrack
We got a surprise back in March when the first trailer for the Jake Gyllenhaal-starring film "Southpaw" dropped with a snippet of a new Eminem song attached. As the film also stars 50 Cent, we should've guessed that Shady Records was involved in some way.

Top 10 Features On Tech N9ne's "Special Effects"

Tech N9ne, who has accrued nearly three decades in the rap-game, has made a career out of dancing between the mainstream and underground universes. Shady Music Publishing Signs Rapper/Producer Astray
You may have never heard of him, but apparently he has the ear of Paul Rosenberg and Eminem. A songwriter and producer by the name of Astray signed with Shady Music Publishing/Universal Music Group Publishing, as announced on twitter by Eminem's manager and the artist himself.
Review: Yelawolf's "Love Story"
After Yelawolf’s first major-label album Radioactive proved to be, well, just that; and failed to meet the standards set by his 2010 mixtape Trunk Muzik, it felt as though - with his second effort Love Story - an explanation or apology was due. He seemingly traded in his trademark mud-coated country roots for pop-pandering.
Yelawolf Speaks On The Making Of "Love Story"
Yelawolf's new album, Love Story, is in stores and online today. The rapper has hinted at what to expect from his sophomore album with the "Son's of Anarchy"-featured track "Til It's Gone" as well as "Whiskey In A Bottle" and most recently, "Best Friend." All these songs have a country and southern edge not often heard in hip-hop, and in comparison to Yela's first album, Radioactive, it's definitely a change of pace-- in a good way, though.

Today, he finally drops a follow-up, the more rootsy, rock-influenced Love Story. Led off by the singles "Box Chevy V," "Till It's Gone," "Whiskey Bottle" and "American You," the full, 18-track project is now streamable on Spotify.
Poetic License: The Art Of Writing
Poetic license is not a new concept. The idea of poetic license can be traced back to the Greco-Roman classical era and is derived from the Latin words, 'poeta' ('maker') and 'licentia' ('to be permitted,' 'liberty'). The concept was encouraged by a Greek philosopher by the name of Aristotle (maybe you've heard of this dude?). In one of the first-ever treatise to describe poetry and literary theory, the philosopher referred to something called "poetic effect"-- which, today, we would call poetic license.
"Empire" Really Wants Eminem & Oprah For Season 2
Fox's Empire is a certified hit, so they don't have to rely on celebrity guest appearances for ratings, but it doesn't mean they won't try to get them if they can. Last season we saw stars like Mary J. Blige, Rita Ora, and Snoop Dogg made their way into the show, but the producers have their hearts set on a couple of guest spots for season 2, and if they get their way, they'll be the biggest names yet.

Top 5 "Shook Ones" Freestyles
Fabolous' latest giveaway is not your average freestyle--it was a major statement. Most rappers, wisely, would shy away from such a beat--"Shook Ones", the lead off Mobb Deep's legendary The Infamous. But Fabo gave it a good shot. The best? You decide.
