Deandre Jurell Pulliam Mt Vernon, NY Artist DeAndre Jurell Pulliam, or simply DeAndre, is an up and coming lyricist from New York set out to conquer the rap world. The Rapper/Songwriter was born in Mt. Vernon, NY on October 2nd, 1993. With father Andre Pulliam in jail before he was born, DeAndre was raised by his mother Shaniqua Fentress and stepfather Christopher Kennard. DeAndre in a natural talent, having discovered his passion for music after witnessing both his stepfather and uncle pursue rap professionally as a career. Aspiring to be a singer, DeAndre spent his youth performing and joined the school choir in the third grade. It wasn't until the fifth grade where DeAndre wrote and performed his first rap and decided to continue his music career as a rapper. After his mother's passed from breast cancer when he was 13 he moved to North Carolina with his little brother and stepfather. In high school, DeAndre expanded his skills by performing in talent shows acting in school plays. He also began competing in rap battles and writing his own songs. His first track titled "I Gotchu" was recorded in 2009 when he was just 15. During his sophomore year DeAndre collaborated with good friend B Wallace and recorded two mixtapes. After graduating from high school in 2011, DeAndre decided to move back to New York and focus on his career. He graduated from the Institute of Audio Research and is currently perfecting his craft, performing on college campuses to clubs in NYC. The 20 year old musician has already released two mixtapes and just released his third entitled "The Framework". With his ability to create profound autobiographical lyrics and tell a story through both song and rap, DeAndre is a true lyricist.
