As far DJs go, there's no one who sells more music than DJ Khaled. Khaled Khaled (no typo) is far from just a DJ though. The Miami hip-hop magnate is the founder and CEO of We the Best Music Group, which includes artists like Ace Hood and dancehall superstar Movado, and the President of Def Jam South, which helped revive Def Jam as a whole toward the end of the '00s.

After a relatively stable week, the top of the HNHH Top 100 became the Wild West once more. The week was dominated by newcomers (even if several of these are new takes on tracks we’ve all heard), with only a few stragglers holding on to top spots. 10) Belly ft. The Weeknd – Might Not Canadian rapper Belly proved that he’s willing to take a backseat on his own track with “Might Not.”

10 Drake Lyrics That Could Double As Jaden Smith Tweets

Last week, tragedy struck the Internet as Jaden Smith's famous Twitter account famously disappeared. Whether he was telling us that "Most Trees Are Blue," or "If Newborn Babies Could Speak They Would Be The Most Intelligent Beings On Earth," the rapper/actor/prophet confirmed the absolute relativity of the universe spoken in the words of a moody teenager, in 140 characters or less (thank God).  Speaking of moody teenagers, Drake has released spouts of knowledge that have us feeling somewhere between the signature "6" *prayer hands* and *facepalm*. A few examples below.

    May 10, 2015 at 07:41pm
Wiz Khalifa was so charmed with a photo of Drake occupying his phone lockscreen that he screencapped it and tweeted it out Friday for all the world to see. Few rappers would make Drake or any other rapper besides themselves as their lockscreen background, let alone willingly share it on social media. But Wiz Khalifa is no ordinary rapper. After a handful of Wiz's curious followers inquired about the screencap, he responded that the picture "reminds [him] of prom" and "Luckily im not one of those idiots who cares what other people think."

Drake delivered a pretty nice burn to Murda Mook Saturday night at Smack/URL's "Night of Main Events 5" in NYC. When the event's MC asked Drake when he was gonna battle Mook, he responded, "you gotta beat Surf first before you get to me," in reference to Jersey battle rap specialist Tsu Surf.

    Charts Don't Lie: May 9

This wasn't a very exciting week for rap on the charts. Over the last couple cycles we've seen the same albums slowly descending, with Drake being the only record to have a second wind in recent weeks. We did see Kehlani's debut this week, taking a page from Drizzy and Young Thug's playbook and putting her "mixtape" on iTunes. She comes in at 36, but we're hoping to see the project gradually make its way up the charts as her hype continues to grow. Her new deal with Atlantic should ensure a push.

Drake's Nothing Was The Same was chuck full of Wu-Tang references, from getting Timbaland to interpolate the iconic "C.R.E.A.M." hook, to shouting out ODB, and yes, even Cappadonna. However, the biggest homage to the crew was Wu-Tang Forever, a song which was rumored to be remixed with several members of the Clan, but for some reason, never came to fruition. In a recent interview with Vulture, Drake finally cleared things up.

Since some old Makonnen tweets came out of the woodwork a couple months back, it hasn't been clear whether or not the Atlanta newcomer and Drake are on good terms. Some speculated that Drizzy was distancing himself from Makonnen following some lines on IYRTITL that seemed to be directed toward a disloyal co-sign.

Nowadays the lines are becoming blurred as to who is a rapper and who is a singer. Not only are genres being bent in different directions, so that it's not uncommon to find an EDM influence (or folk, if it's Yelawolf) in a rap song and vice versa, but vocals are being bent in every which way as well. Rappers are experimenting with flows and voices, like Kendrick Lamar, and they're also pushing the boundaries when it comes to being a singer.

With yesterday's remix of Fetty Wap's "My Way," we're getting that feeling that this summer's gonna be Drizzy season yet again. Drizzy had the most successful 2014 of anyone who didn't put out an album, and he did it by dropping impromptu remixes on the ever-fashionable OVO soundcloud. First, the TOPSZN boys bumped up Tinashe's "2 On" to level 6, and, then, weekdays were forever changed as he flexed his vocals to the max on iLoveMakonnen's "Tuesday."

As if "Trap Queen" currently sitting at #3 on the Hot 100 isn't enough, Fetty Wap's status as one of the biggest breakout stories of 2015 was cemented yesterday when Drake released a remix of his song "My Way." In the midst of becoming the first artist since Makonnen to get that coveted Drizzy remix treatment, the Remy Boy sat down with The Fader to explain how this whole thing came about. On his first contact with Drake:

The annual Austin City Limits music festival will be taking place once again this October, and the lineups for both weekends have been revealed today. The fest isn't exactly heavy on rap performers, but there are certainly some heavy hitters in the mix, with Drake, The Weeknd, A$AP Rocky, Chance The Rapper, Run The Jewels, and the quickly ascending Kehlani confirmed as performers.

Drake had a good 6 months to hop on "Trap Queen" before it started to get some serious attention, but unfortunately he missed the boat, and the record is currently sitting at number 3 on the Hot 100 -- without a Drizzy feature. While the OVO rapper generally likes to hop on records from rappers who haven't broken through yet (and usually take credit for putting them on), it seems that Drake is still set on doing a Wap track.

Yesterday, Billboard released its annual "Money-Makers" list, which rounds up last year's top earners in the music world. In 2014, hip-hop only had three moguls who managed to crack the top 25: Jay Z, Eminem, and Drake.

While Yelawolf managed a big debut this week, topping his previous album peak of 27 by hitting number 3 on the Billboard 200, rap lost a fair bit of ground. While Wale started off strong with a number one debut, he's fallen 10 or more spots every subsequent week, coming in this cycle at 31. Young Thug is also having a pretty rough time, failing to make the top 20 last week, and now falling to 44. Many of the other big albums stayed put for the most part, with Drake being the biggest gainer on account of the physical release of his "Mixtape".

It doesn’t get much better than beautiful weather complimented by beautiful people dancing to bass-laden tunes. Excess amounts of cheap alcohol and THC add to the excitement at summer concerts.
