As if "Trap Queen" currently sitting at #3 on the Hot 100 isn't enough, Fetty Wap's status as one of the biggest breakout stories of 2015 was cemented yesterday when Drake released a remix of his song "My Way." In the midst of becoming the first artist since Makonnen to get that coveted Drizzy remix treatment, the Remy Boy sat down with The Fader to explain how this whole thing came about. On his first contact with Drake:

The annual Austin City Limits music festival will be taking place once again this October, and the lineups for both weekends have been revealed today. The fest isn't exactly heavy on rap performers, but there are certainly some heavy hitters in the mix, with Drake, The Weeknd, A$AP Rocky, Chance The Rapper, Run The Jewels, and the quickly ascending Kehlani confirmed as performers.

Drake had a good 6 months to hop on "Trap Queen" before it started to get some serious attention, but unfortunately he missed the boat, and the record is currently sitting at number 3 on the Hot 100 -- without a Drizzy feature. While the OVO rapper generally likes to hop on records from rappers who haven't broken through yet (and usually take credit for putting them on), it seems that Drake is still set on doing a Wap track.

Madonna and Drake making out at Coachella was low-key pretty hot. And while it seemed at the time like Madonna enjoyed it infinitely more than Drake, she expressed regret last night while answering fan questions for an online stream called "Live with Romeo's: Saturday Night Online."

Yesterday, Billboard released its annual "Money-Makers" list, which rounds up last year's top earners in the music world. In 2014, hip-hop only had three moguls who managed to crack the top 25: Jay Z, Eminem, and Drake.

While Yelawolf managed a big debut this week, topping his previous album peak of 27 by hitting number 3 on the Billboard 200, rap lost a fair bit of ground. While Wale started off strong with a number one debut, he's fallen 10 or more spots every subsequent week, coming in this cycle at 31. Young Thug is also having a pretty rough time, failing to make the top 20 last week, and now falling to 44. Many of the other big albums stayed put for the most part, with Drake being the biggest gainer on account of the physical release of his "Mixtape".

Once you reach a certain status in the rap game, there comes a time where you dedicate an entire summer to headlining music festivals. We've seen Kanye West, and more recently, Outkast, take on this task, but in 2015, it's Drake's turn. Following two headlining sets at Coachella earlier in the month, Drizzy will be heading to Wireless, Governor's Ball, his own OVO Fest, and now Landmark Festival in DC.The Toronto rapper will be sharing the bill with The Strokes, alt-J, CHVRCHES, Band Of Horses, and more, but appears to be the only rap act announced so far.

A year ago, Ducko Mcfli had never gotten his name on a beat with an artist outside of Nashville. He and longtime production partner SykSense had been putting in work for years, even catching the eye of Boi-1da, who signed the pair to a short-term production deal a few years ago. Finally, last March, they sent him one that stuck. He passed it along to his right-hand man, aka the biggest rapper in the world, and next thing you know, Syk and Ducko saw their names next to Drake's "Draft Day."

Despite the fortuitous shift in the music industry, the status of Jay Z and Kanye West remains unblemished. For over a decade, Hov and Ye anchored the remaining bits of Roc-A-Fella by extinguishing rays of doubts with timeless material. Since Reasonable Doubt, nobody questioned Jay’s lyrical prowess. He embodies consistency and longevity. With a run similar to Jordan's, it’s easy to see why he’s pegged as an all-time great.

Earlier today, we reported on some tweets from Two-9 rapper Jace, in which he implied that Drake's "6 God" and "No Tellin" beats were originally his. While he supplied the audio to back it up, the co-producer of "6 God" has now weighed in, revealing that Drake was the original owner of the beats, and that he never heard Jace's take.

Jace, signed to Mike Will's Ear Drummers, would first like to say: "i'm just sayin." Last Thursday (April 23), the member of both Two-9 and Retro Su$h! tweeted out two videos of old recordings that sound very familiar. He first takes us into his Macbook and shows us a song called "Mortal Kombat" that dates back to last July. He then presses play and we hear the "6 God" beat from Drake's If You're Reading This Its Too Late. We only hear about 15 seconds of Jace's version, though he soon made his message clear, tweeting: "real 6ix god boy."
