The show was filmed in Cole's hometown of Fayetteville, N.C., where he gave his day-one fans some special surprises, including appearances from Drake, Jay Z, Big Sean, and YG.

Nielsen has announced the United States' best-selling albums of 2015. Representing from the hip hop sector are The Weeknd's Beauty Behind the Madness at #5, Drake's IYRTITL at #6, and Fetty Wap's self-titled debut album at #10. Meanwhile, Adele's 25 absolutely obliterated the competition, selling more than twice as many copies as any other album despite having been released at the end of November.

We didn't see many debuts this week, but pretty much all the big rap releases of 2015 experienced a considerable push. The most logical explanation would be that many of the most popular rap albums depend on streams to chart, and when Christmas rolled around, physical and iTunes copies were being sold a whole lot more, but it was pop releases like Adele's back catalog that saw the greatest boost. Now, that the surge is over, heavily streamed albums are now back in their rightful positions.
