Charts Don't Lie: September 21
With six new releases taking up the top eleven spots on the Billboard 200, most hip hop records took a tumble on the charts this week. Drake and the Suicide Squad soundtrack each bounced up a spot, to #2 and #3 respectively, but everyone else on our list fell, aside from Kanye who stayed put at the #21 spot. After debuting with the #1 album in the country, Travis Scott lands at #6 with Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight. Frank Ocean, Rihanna, Beyonce, and DJ Khaled stay within the top 20 with their newest releases.

Drake is back in the top 3 with VIEWS, Bryson Tiller celebrates 50 weeks on the chart with TRAPSOUL, and Frank Ocean barely holds onto top 10 placement during Blonde's third week out.

Kid Cudi was feeling himself this afternoon, when he went off on a little twitter rant, thanking his supporters and blasting any detractors. The rapper has been cited by many artists among the 'new wave' as inspiration and influence, rightly so, given that a lot of these artists were getting into hip-hop (they are young) around the time Cudder was popping off, which is also around the time the blogsophere was starting to pop off.
Drake Brings Out Kevin Durant In Oakland
Drake has been bringing out huge surprise guests at virtually every stop of his Summer Sixteen tour. Tuesday night, during the first of two shows at Oakland's Oracle Arena, he brought out the Bay Area's newest superstar: Kevin Durant. The Golden State Warriors were already a super-team last year, and with the addition of Durant, they have taken the form the of a super-duper team. Durant's new fan base greeted him warmly last night as he stepped out on stage in front of the OVO faithful.

Drake Really Bought His Neighbor's House
“I’ll buy the neighbor's house if they complain about the noise,” Drake quipped on his "Where Ya At" verse, and while we have no idea whether the rapper's neighbors took issue with his partying, Drizzy has reportedly purchased the property right beside his in L.A.The home is said to be valued at $2.85 million, and is reported to have been scooped up by the rapper in June. The house sports four bedrooms, five bathrooms, and 4,445 square feet of space, a modest place compared to the home he's deemed the YOLO Estate next door.

As they did at New York's Madison Square Garden last month, Drake and Future did three consecutive Summer Sixteen shows in L.A., and night 3, which went down Saturday night, made sure to end the run with a bang. Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, and Rihanna all made appearances, making for some of the biggest stars to cross the stage during the whole tour.Ri performed "Work" and "Bitch Better Have My Money," while Wayne did his remix of Gucci Mane's "Wasted" from No Ceilings.
