Drake's Third-Week Streams Are Bigger Than Any Album's First-Week Numbers...In History
Earlier today, it was reported that Drake's "One Dance" reclaimed the top spot on Billboard's Hot 100. Unsurprisingly, his success also extends to the albums chart, as VIEWS currently sits at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in its second week (for the week of May 28). The most recent albums chart -- for the week ending June 4 -- is set to be revealed tomorrow (May 23), and Drake will surely take No.
Drake's "One Dance" Reclaims #1 On The Hot 100
It's been a crazy month as Drake, Desiigner, and Justin Timberlake have duked it out for the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100. Desiigner's "Panda" took the top spot and held off Drake's "One Dance" for two weeks before inevitably succumbing.
Top Tracks: May 16 - May 22
This past week, we were finally able to take a deep breath and reflect on all of the major projects we've heard in the past month -- A$AP Ferg, Bankroll Mafia, Beyoncé, Drake, Skepta, Rittz, Chance The Rapper, and Post Malone have all dropped full-lengths in that relatively brief timespan. It would appear that the summer's first burst of high-profile albums has subsided, but as we await projects from Travi$ Scott, YG, ScHoolboy Q, and others, at least guys like The Underachievers and Casey Veggies have given us something new to chew on.
Meek Mill Wins Top Rap Album At Billboard Music Awards, Drake Is Top Rap Artist
Another week, another award show. Tonight it was the 2016 Billboard Music Awards in Vegas, and of course, the majority of the nominations went to major artists who have spent a good deal of time in the Hot 100 singles chart and/or the Billboard 200 albums chart over the past year. Though a relatively small group of hip-hop artists were represented at this year's show, there were still a few surprise award-winners. The most unexpected result came in the category of Top Rap Album, as the award was given to Meek Mill's Dreams Worth More Than Money.
Drake & Future Performed For Floyd Mayweather's Daughter At Her Sweet 16
Seeing that Mayweather made over $200 million on his last fight, it's no surprise that his daughter's sweet 16 party was quite the spectacle. Iyanna Mayweather, who brought in her 16th this weekend, probably had the opportunity to get almost anyone to perform at her party, but she chose Future and Drake.
Popcaan Defends Drake Against Mr. Vegas' Criticisms
Drake and Popcaan have been good friends for some time, and anyone who was following the leaks leading up to the release of VIEWS will know that the dancehall artist featured on an early version of "Controlla". Unfortunately, when the proper album arrived, Popcaan no longer had vocals on the record, something that many fans were disappointed about, including fellow dancehall artist Mr.
This Clip Of Kendrick Lamar Singing Drake's "Controlla" & Rihanna's "Work" Is Essential Viewing
Kendrick Lamar and Drake may have had their differences in the past (some of them likely imagined by fans), but it doesn't mean they can't enjoy one another's music. A new clip has surfaced in which we hear Kendrick Lamar gleefully singing along to Drake's VIEWS highlight, "Controlla," before moving on to Rihanna's "Work" (which, of course, Drake is also featured on).

The sad story of Johnny Manziel continues. Friday night, the free agent quarterback was enjoying some leisure time in the VIP section of the JEWEL Nightclub in Las Vegas. With Drake scheduled to perform, the crowd bristled with anticipation.

Justin Timberlake Dethrones Drake From #1 On Hot 100

Drake's "Views" Is Still No. 1 Despite 70 Percent Drop In Sales & Streams
Drake’s album Views made its chart debut last week at number one on Billboard’s Album 200 Chart, silencing (or at least temporarily quieting) haters.
Watch Every Skit From Drake's SNL Episode
Drake hosted SNL for the third time Saturday night. He doesn't get many opportunities these days to show off the acting chops he honed during his stint as Wheelchair Jimmy on "Degrassi," so this was a special for moment for him. He even shaved his beard for the occasion. Drake showed off his range over the course of numerous skit. He played every character in his playbook, from oblivious Jamican Canadian to stern school chaperone. His updated version of "Back to Back" was a particular crowd favorite... it went down last night in Studio 8H for #DrakeOnSNL.
Drake Performs "One Dance" & "Hype" On Saturday Night Live
As you're probably aware of, Drake served as both musical guest & host on this week’s episode of Saturday Night Live, where he killed the opening monologue and just about every skit after that. However, Drizzy was there in promotion of his new album VIEWS, so it was only right he took the stage to perform a couple records in its support, and he did so by starting off with his dance-friendly cut “One Dance.”
Drake Shaved His Beard For SNL & Fans Are Not Taking It Well
Drake's beard is a relatively new part of his look, making its first appearance somewhere around last summer, but apparently, people had already become attached to it. The rapper reportedly posted a clean-shaven selfie last night with the caption, "Beard making an epic comeback in 2 weeks....only for you @nbcsnl," suggesting he lost his facial hair for his Saturday Night Live hosting duties this week.

Joe Budden Responds To Drake's Alleged Diss On French Montana Collab
Earlier today, French Montana had a very special guest in the studio, and he had to share a couple of highlight moments via social media. For the first time since 2013's "Pop That," it seems that French and Drake are working on a collab. After sharing an Instagram video of Drake explaining his love for French's storied "Cocaine City" DVDs, French played a short snippet of his and Drake's new collab on Snapchat. After hearing the 10-second clip, some have taken a particular Drake line to be a sly shot at Joe Budden.
Charts Don't Lie: May 11
This week the charts are all about Drake, who has both the #1 album and (for the first time ever) #1 song in the country. VIEWS did nearly a million copies sold in its first week, which is virtually unheard of for an artist in 2016. Beyonce falls just behind Drake at the #2 spot after her album LEMONADE debuted at #1 last week. Prince still has ten releases on the chart, which is more than most artists release in a lifetime of music-making, including two in the top 10.
