David Pouncey Jr. (Born August 21, 1989) also known as D-Boi (RichB4Rich), is a West Coast Rap Artist out of Vallejo, Ca. Growing up in the 90’s, D-Boi was a huge sports fanatic/athlete, as well as an avid music lover. He remembers consistently listening to Artist such as Tupac, Mac Dre, E-40, and Snoop Dogg, just to name a few. Since the 3rd grade, D-Boi played organized sports (Basketball, Baseball, Football) all year-round. He often remixed his favorite songs and wrote lyrics growing up, but didn’t choose to pursue a music career until 2006, with the help of his childhood friend and label mate (El Negro). Along with playing Varsity Baseball and maintaining a solid grade point average, D-Boi often spent his weekends performing at local Venues ranging from house parties to 21+ clubs around the SF Bay Area. After graduating High School, his Baseball talents moved him to Albany, Oregon, where he attended Linn-Benton College and Red-Shirted on the Baseball Team. During his time there, D-Boi pushed RichB4Rich’s debut Street Album “Eating But Still Hungry 1”, which landed him his first live show in Oregon. In 2008, after an unexpected death in the family, D-Boi chose to move back to Vallejo and attend Napa College, where he competed on the Baseball team for a year as well. Due to injury, D-Boi was forced to hang up the cleats in 2009, and began solely focusing on his musical talents. After later releasing “Eating But Still Hungry Vol.2 & 3” and “Bars and Hooks”, D-Boi began working on solo material, releasing 3 mixtapes: “Crunch Time” & 2 parts to “The Joog”. After receiving positive feedback, emphasizing his catchy lyrics and demand for attention, D-Boi began working on his Debut Album “Success Addict”, which was released (June, 2010) and is currently available on iTunes, Amazon, and a list of other online music distributors. In December 2010, D-Boi introduced his new Mixtape Series “Leaving A Legacy” Vol. 1, which is currently available for free download on-line. D-Boi has appeared on 106.1fm Kmel’s (Home Turf Radio), Ozcat Radio, 88.7fm KBVR, WeTheWest.com, Thizzler.com, and a long list of other Blogs & Websites. D-Boi refers to his fellow supporters as “#BALLHOGS”, which is pretty self explanatory considering his passion for Music/Sports.
