Born and raised in Atlanta, GA 20-year-old rapper D Phresh has taken his surroundings and used them to become one of the most impressive lyricists out of Atlanta since T.I.
At the age of 5, D Phresh began to articulate rhymes at his Great Grandmothers house in the Pittsburgh community on the west side of Atlanta. From there, under the tutelage of his older cousin Jabo, D Phresh learned the basics of recording and focused on how to structure a complete composition. By the time D Phresh reached the 7th Grade he had already recorded his first song "Stop Flexin". By the 8th grade he was battling his peers and started a rap group called "P.O.C". They never recorded anything, but being around other rappers quickly sharpened his skills. So intensely focused on writing raps, D Phresh nearly failed out of the 9th grade.
In 2007 D Phresh created his first mixtape “Jackn’ 4 Beats Vol. 1.” Rapping of some of the hottest beats at that time. He released his second mixtape early 2008 where he delivered his venomous flow over his own production on “The Phresh Chronicles”. On February 4, 2008 he recorded his most personal record to date entitled, “The Good Die Young” about his good friend that was killed just the day before. This unfortunate tragedy served as a wake up call for D Phresh and at that point he decided to take advantage of all that was in front of him.
Since then D Phresh has performed at “A Town Day,” opened for major label recording artist such as Jody Breeze, Won the BET College Tour Freestyle Competition, and has consistently impressed everyone fortunate enough to hear is incredible delivery.
“When T.I. came out of Atlanta everybody was like woah! I want to be even bigger than that!”
