The original found Premier digging up a Dilated Peoples sample in between his signature scratches. PRhyme "Rockin' With The Best" ('NBA Countdown' Theme Song)
ESPN's "First Take" recently got a revamped theme song courtesy of Wale, and now the network's pre-game show "NBA Countdown" has called upon two of hip-hop's elite, DJ Premier and Royce da 5'9", aka PRhyme, to create its opening music. The new song is called "Rockin' with the Best," and you can listen to it in a new video clip that will presumably be NBA Countdown's opening sequence from here on out.

With Preemo solely sampling music by the talented, retro-minded musician Adrian Younge, and a whole host of big-name guests showing up for verses, PRhyme should be quite the listen.

In it, Royce describes his alcoholism (he's been sober since 2012), and postulates theories about the various pitfalls of womanizing. It's just the sort of mature, impressive track you'd expect from the duo.

On December 9th, Royce Da 5'9" and DJ Premier will be teaming up to bring us a joint album under the name PRhyme. After sharing a couple of incendiary, engrossing tracks, the duo begin rolling out a documentary that details the making of the project. Entitled "Raiders Of The Lost Art," the documentary's first part drops today. In it, Premo speaks on new sounds in the rap industry, saying, "Let the kids have that. I'ma keep on boom-bappin' it. Kicks, snares, hi-hats, dope samples and scratching."

Hip-hop legend DJ Premier will release a joint album with Detroit spitter Royce Da 5'9" under the name "PRhyme" on December 9th. Recently, he stopped by Snoop Dogg's GGN program to discuss the new project and reminisce on his earliest run-ins with The Doggfather.

Diabolic "Diabolical Sound" Video
Back in September, HNHH had the honor of hosting Fightin Words, a brand new project from Diabolic. The tape was acclaimed by readers, earning a 90% positive rating from reviews. Today, 'bolic returns with the visuals to the tape's DJ Premier-produced intro, "Diabolical Sound." Attempting to match the gritty lyrical content blow-for-blow, the video's director relies on hand-held cinematography and high contrast ratios to give the film a horror movie aesthetic.
Saigon "Nunya" Video
Saigon takes on social media in his new video for "Nunya," the DJ Premier-produced single from the upcoming third chapter of The Greatest Story Never Told. Produced almost entirely using computer generated images (CGI), the video inserts Saigon into social media pages where fans ask for a little more information than Sai is willing to pass along. It's all light-hearted but socially-mindful stuff.
