    Last year Lollapalooza had a headliner that would many most hip-hop fans weak at the knees, with both OutKast and Eminem on the bill. This year they do a 180, with absolutely no hip-hop headliner, although there are rap artists scattered throughout the three-day festival.

    The Roots will be putting on their 8th annual Roots Picnic this coming summer in Philadelphia. They've tapped a dope line-up for this year, with a mix of rap and r'n'b, mainstream and indie, albeit, mostly indie. The Roots Picnic headliners will be The Roots and The Weeknd. In addition, you'll be able to catch A$AP Rocky, Phantogram, Erykah Badu (backed by The Roots), Hudson Mohawke, DJ Mustard, Raury, Bishop Nehru, Marc E. Bassy, Rae Sremmurd and more.

    Last week, we were shocked to see YG and DJ Mustard, the bread and butter of L.A.'s rap scene last year, engaging in some light beef on social media.     Following the growing number of incidents in which police have killed unarmed black men in the U.S. this year, protesters have gathered nationwide to fight for change. The "Millions March" in New York a couple of weeks back collected a massive turnout, and now other cities are following suit. While we saw Nas and Russell Simmons among the protesters in New York, L.A.'s march today also drew in some rap icons. Game, DJ Mustard, and Tyga joined the thousands who gathered to stand in unison for Eric Garner, Mike Brown, and the many others who's deaths have gone without consequence.

The track, well-received by our readers as well as the mainstream radio, paved the way for M.I.L.A. (Made In Los Angeles) to finally reach our collective eardrums. Featuring the aforementioned hit as well as new collaborations with B.o.B and Problem, the short five-track EP is now available for streaming in full via Spotify.     TMZ is reporting that Jeezy, who just got out of some legal trouble of his own this past month, is now being sued by a Wisconsin rapper by the name of Big Chris. Chris claims that Jeezy's 2014 hit single "Me OK," produced by Drumma Boy, was a rip-off of his own track "13 Shots." Chris says his single was released a full five years before Jeezy's hit.

Ty sat down with NeHipHop on his tour bus to talk about what's next for him, including some big collaborative album plans with YG and DJ Mustard, some possible work with Drake, and the crazy tour bus lifestyle.Check out some excerpts from the interview below.
