Before his Pilot Talk 3 album arrives tomorrow, Curren$y decided to treat fans to an early listen of it via Jet Life's uStream channel on Friday night. While on the way to Boston, Curreny’s tour bus caught a flat tire. So with nothing but time on his hand, the Jet Lifer decided to chill with fans on his uStream channel for over 2 hours. With his laptop already out, Curren$y decided to hit play on various records off the new album and turn this “Good Friday” into a great one.

Earlier this week Dame Dash decided to rip into Def Jam President Joie Manda, calling him a "culture vulture" among other things in an extensive rant on Instagram. Joie Manda himself has not responded to the attack, but Funkmaster Flex decided to address Dame's comments on his radio show yesterday, as he and Dame have been going back and forth on Instagram over the last few days.

This is a brief one, folks - the headline is essentially the story here, but it's good news, at least. Spitta Andretti, better known as Curren$y, took to Twitter this evening to suggest the existence of a third instalment in his Pilot Talk album series, simply tweeting the hashtag #PilotTalk3. New music from Spitta is rarely if ever a bad thing, and as such we're hoping this is actually a thing.

Only a handful of artists release as much content as Curren$y does. Some can match the quantity, but none can top the quality. Spitta Andretti is known for releasing album-quality mixtapes at a constant rate, giving fans all they can digest. 2013’s New Jet City was one of the hottest mixtapes of the year, and his latest offering The Drive In Theatre doesn’t disappoint either.

Curren$y recently had a show out in DC, and we were able to catch up with him after the show for a sit-down about his highly anticipated Pilot Talk 3 album. In between Pilot Talk 3 discussions our host Baker and Spitta also had time to chat on the rapper's well-known obsession with old school cars as well as his complete dislike for leather jogging pants.

After a near-decade of hustling, Curren$y has finally landed his prominent role in the rap scene. It wasn’t easy work, but anyone who has watched the New Orleans-native go from Lil Wayne’s sidekick to stoner rap’s most consistent contributor will tell you that much. For his third Pilot Talk album, Curren$y didn’t reinvent the wheel, but he definitely refined it. His vision is clearer now more than ever: funny rhymes + some swaggy braggadocio + luxurious production = success. It also equates to a pleasant listen each time.

Before Wiz Khalifa was a household name, he was on the mixtape grind. Before he was selling out stadiums, he was shelling out free material and making fans all over the internet. A few years later, the guy was everywhere. Wiz is another example of how free music (and the internet) can lead to fruitful careers. If it wasn't for the highly popular Kush & Orange Juice mixtape, who knows if we'd even be writing this article today.

The art of rapping started off in the form of spoken word and poetry, but you don't hear a lot of "poetry" in modern-day popular rap. This could be for a multitude of reasons. For starters, the club doesn't want to put you to sleep. And Neither does the radio. For whatever reason, songs that make you think don't seem to have wheels in 2015. But that's okay though, 'cause we got you.

Curren$y is one of the realest, and most hilarious rappers out. Whether you're high as a kite or straight as an arrow, the Hot Spitta will have you nodding your head in agreeance to whatever he rhymes, and every now then, you just might giggle. Some rappers spit knowledge, some rappers spit about material items, and other rappers talk about their pot consumption, their cars and their bitches. Curren$y is definitely the latter.

For rappers, having a dope ride is more than just a mode of transportation. Yes, it does mean no more riding the bus. But purchasing a brand new whip is symbolic of their rise to the top. Bugattis, Chevrolet Impalas, Aston Martins, and more luxury vehicles come with a hefty pricetag. If you can afford it, you’re probably living the life. Plus if you've got a nice whip, the ladies will usually follow. For those struggling rappers who came from a harsh upbringing and poverty, being able to choose between, let's say, a Beamer and Bentley is a sure sign they've made it.

Keeping it fresh with his signature, smoked out flow, Curren$y delivers a strong introduction with the title track New Jet City. Backed by a pompous instrumental, Spitta lays it down and lauds about his boss status. From “sittin in the back of his triple black, with picnic tables, twisting up sacks” to making double our life savings, he is clearly on some new boss shit. The triumphant trumpets in the back really help deliver that strong, ignorant rich sound.

Taking a page out of Nipsey Hussle's very successful book, Curren$y is planning an unorthodox release strategy for his upcoming mixtape Pilot Talk III. In addition to releasing the tape for free online, the New Orleans rapper has made a $100 package (which includes the tape on a custom USB drive, an exclusive shirt and a look book) available for pre-order.

This week our newest entry in Charts Don't Lie is the former G.O.O.D. Music representer, Kid Cudi. The rapper announced his departure from G.O.O.D. Music shortly before the release of INDICUD, to the shock of most. Although Cudder assured fans it was an amicable split, it nonetheless gets us wondering as to the root cause. Cudder blames it on wanting to carve out his very own lane in the music industry, with his label Wicked Awesome.

When hip-hop began, samples were all that DJs and producers had to construct instrumental tracks with. They'd dig through crates of vinyl trying to find isolated drum breaks, melodies or vocals that they could repurpose for use in hip-hop music. Today, sampling has become less common, but a choice sample can still push a track from lukewarm to hot faster than you can say "uh huh honey."  This week, see who Curren$y, Mobb Deep, Freddie Gibbs and Isaiah Rashad chose to sample in their recent releases, all of which you can find on HNHH.
