Who Had The Better Verse: Wiz Khalifa Vs. Curren$y
Who doesn’t love Wiz and Spitta? Now they won’t be the first ones to be lauded for being complex lyricists. But guess what, that’s ok. They may not wow you with lyrically-dense bars, but they are both able to meticulously string together hypnotic records. Individually, they earned their respective fans because of their relentless work ethic and penchant for making smooth tunes.
Wiz Khalifa Details PARTYNEXTDOOR Collaboration & Mixtape With Curren$y
Wiz Khalifa's "We Dem Boyz" was inescapable last summer, and it seems the Taylor Gang rapper may have the warmer months on lock once again. Currently sitting at number one on the Billboard charts, Khalifa has big plans for the near future, working on a joint project with Curren$y, as well as getting ready to release what sounds like a pretty massive collab with PARTYNEXTDOOR.
Ranking Curren$y's "Pilot Talk" 1, 2, & 3 From Worst To Best
It’s been five years since the original Pilot Talk instalment and three years between studio releases for New Orleans rapper Curren$y. While his 2012 effort The Stoned Immaculate earned critical acclaim and charted higher than any previous release, and he’s certainly stayed busy with multiple mixtapes, tours, and a live album, Curren$y has seemingly been unable to harness the excitement and acclaim that his first two studio albums brought him.
Hip-Hop Reacts To The Death Of Freddie Gray & Baltimore Riots
On April 12, 25-year-old Freddie Gray was arrested in Baltimore for possession of a switchblade, though it's still not clear why he was pursued in the first place. Police claim Gray was apprehended without force, though bystanders have suggested otherwise, and video evidence shows Gray screaming while being forced into the police's van. What happened next is still being investigated, though by the time Gray arrived at the police station, he was unresponsive, unable to talk or breathe.

Review: Curren$y "Pilot Talk III"
After a near-decade of hustling, Curren$y has finally landed his prominent role in the rap scene. It wasn’t easy work, but anyone who has watched the New Orleans-native go from Lil Wayne’s sidekick to stoner rap’s most consistent contributor will tell you that much. For his third Pilot Talk album, Curren$y didn’t reinvent the wheel, but he definitely refined it. His vision is clearer now more than ever: funny rhymes + some swaggy braggadocio + luxurious production = success. It also equates to a pleasant listen each time.
Curren$y's Realest "Pilot Talk III" Lines
Curren$y is one of the realest, and most hilarious rappers out. Whether you're high as a kite or straight as an arrow, the Hot Spitta will have you nodding your head in agreeance to whatever he rhymes, and every now then, you just might giggle. Some rappers spit knowledge, some rappers spit about material items, and other rappers talk about their pot consumption, their cars and their bitches. Curren$y is definitely the latter.
#TBT: Mixtape Khalifa
Before Wiz Khalifa was a household name, he was on the mixtape grind. Before he was selling out stadiums, he was shelling out free material and making fans all over the internet. A few years later, the guy was everywhere. Wiz is another example of how free music (and the internet) can lead to fruitful careers. If it wasn't for the highly popular Kush & Orange Juice mixtape, who knows if we'd even be writing this article today.

Samples Of The Week: March 12
After a week where Kanye West, Wale and Ludacris dropped off new tracks, we had fewer top-tier artists releasing material this week. Instead, some fan favorites returned from dry spells to bless us with new material, all of which was pretty dope. In this edition of Samples Of The Week, we look at flips by Freddie Gibbs, Flatbush Zombies and Curren$y. As always, some of these are very unexpected, some are obscure, and all are expertly executed. Read on to get the scoop.
