During the Golden Era of Hip-Hop, the year was 1988, Justin G. Jacob a.k.a. Cayenne was born. He was raised in the city of New Rochelle. A writer, producer, rapper and even sometimes singer, Cayenne’s love for music runs deep. He comes from a family full of music from the Jazz genre all the way to R&B. Cayenne’s talents were exposed at a young age and encouraged by his father. Support from family helped him develop the necessary skills to achieve his dreams. After his getting a computer as a gift from his mom, it was history. Cayenne went on to produce his first mix tape and began receiving street credibility. At the age of fifteen Cayenne was introduced to Mighty Max by his father. He felt inspired by Max’s music and his experience in the music business. Their first try at collaborating, did not meet with Max’s expectations. “He just needs more time to grow” said Max. So Cayenne went back to the drawing board took two years and returned with new music that was up to standards. Their second attempt at collaborating on a track produced magic. “I was feeling him so much,” says Max, “I put him on my first single, Your Man for an album I was working on”. Finally ready to show the world what he had to offer; Cayenne has performed and appeared on BET’s hip-hop show The Deal. Not so long after that a group was formed called “The Onez”. Now under the Mighty One Music umbrella; Cayenne and Max have been banging out hit after hit, along with the other members Carmen Beretta and KimmieOne, THE ONEZ are bringing it full force. They have done over at least 100 shows between the years of 2009-2010 all over NYC. They were everywhere and some would say unstoppable. They have worked with people like Benny Negro doing shows at Manny’s in NYC and Harlem lanes where M.O.P hosted a show. They have also performed at the Puerto Rican Parade’s 116thst festival and many other festivals around NYC. With many radio shows such as Urban Latino In the mix A list Michaela Tv and many others, they went on to grind hard and flood the streets with their creativity. After a while the group decided to go their own way to find themselves work on artist development and maybe come back stronger than ever in the future. Cayenne is now on his solo movement in his own lane grinding harder than ever with his street team (G.I.B) performing at places like Monroe College La Tropicana Club and the Green Leaf Lounge. However Cayenne and Max are still at it with new hits like “Wake Up” Featuring Young Gates and Infinite the Poet. They also have a video for it which is coming real soon, and is something to look forward to. Aside from that he is still grinding on his own creating mix tapes and the latest event was a Bar Mitzvah where created a lot more connections. He is ready to move and it shows. While he is still creating a buzz, he still continues to attend school at the College Of Westchester located on central ave in Scarsdale, NY. He is still aspiring to be the best of the best artist and he says “With God on my side I can do it all.” With a voice that Commands attention and a flow that keeps you coming back for more, this 80’s baby is ready to bless the world.
